Prolific duo Years of Denial return to Veyl with another genre bending, dance floor ready EP titled Love Cuts.

Acting as a transit between 2023’s Suicide Disco 2 and the forthcoming Suicide Disco 3, Love Cuts explores the various angles of love - ranging from the digital to the forbidden, toxic to erotic and beyond. A blend of death rock, future goth, EBM and rave, we once again find the project’s poetic, powerful lyrics fusing with motorized beats and 4x4 rhythms.

Kicking things off is the shadowy, death rock inspired, "Devil in a Skirt", an infectious ballad about a temptress that may not be what she seems. Next up, "Affaire de Coeur" delivers body fuelled stabs which elegantly bleeds into "Hide & Sick", a more high energy cut, set to scorch the floor. "We Are The Party" keeps the pulse pounding with your next EBM anthem while "In Your Bed" shatters sonic boundaries and leaves things drenched in acid rave. "AI Lover" closes things out with more future goth rave energy which acts as both a warning and a desire for more.

Love Cuts builds on Years of Denial’s previous work while setting the stage for what’s to come. Commanding vocals and dominating beats transmit a powerful message of both the dystopian and euphoric. Remaining uncategorizable, the project continues to evolve their unique sound while burning a path toward the future.

Emerging from the vast sonic landscape of VEYL, comes a new compilation which captures the essence of the label while continuing to evolve its sound. 'Utopia Vanished: From Enslavement to Reiteration' is a juggernaut v/a with a total of 50 tracks by 25 artists, all of which are VEYL family and affiliates. While setting out to compile a release which surveyed the label’s diverse musical approach, the project took on a life of its own, eliciting an overwhelming amount of outstanding submissions. 

From the dark, brooding atmosphere of Shifted’s remix of Maenad Veyl’s 'Stranger' to the filthy electronics of TV.OUT, this just a tip of the iceberg. Bringing together some of the label’s most well known and beloved names, expect all new seductive tunes from Years of Denial, infectious post-punk from Blind Delon, the haunting cinematic synths of Filmmaker and of course the unmistakable energy of Arnaud Rebotini. Also included are new label signings, unreleased, alternate versions, and far beyond. You haven’t heard anything from this compilation and you might not hear anything else like it. 

While never being confined to a single sound or genre, 'Utopia Vanished' pushes the VEYL ethos even further while showcasing an awe-inspiring array of artists from across the globe. Through its music and presentation, 'Utopia' also presents a biting commentary on an endlessly broken world. A vicious cycle of a past that seems doomed to repeat while somehow hanging on to a glimmer of hope.

Internationally revered, multi-faceted artist Arnaud Rebotini arrives on Veyl with the new EP, 'New Territory'. While venturing into a wide array of musical genres and sonic realms, the release is still unmistakably Rebotini, fueled by infectious electro-body grooves and hypnotizing vocals. 

From the utterly addictive, pulse pounding allure of 'Special A' to the more industrial techno strains of 'A Noise Rose', Rebotini delivers a myriad of interconnected tracks which traverse fresh auditory landscapes but maintain a common circuitry. The poignant, anthemic lyrics of 'No More Love (No More Hate)' resonates loud and clear while the throbbing, Giallo flaire of 'Italian Sex Drive' sends shivers down the spine. 

'The Pale Eastern Christ' injects a haunting atmospheric mood while the title track is irresistible ebm-wave that falls perfectly in between the lines for an indelible sound that only the French producer can conjure. Rebotini’s work continues to shatter boundaries and fuse genres while essentially pioneering a category all of his own. 'New Territory' furthers the legend and keeps us begging for more.

Following on from 2022’s 'The Golden Cage' LP, Veyl revisits Marco Freivogel’s Prequel Tapes with a series of remixes. The original album completed a cycle of themes and exploration that began with 2015’s 'Inner Systems'. 'The Golden Cage' worked off familial trauma and a hyper-realistic dream experience. Now the label presents a collection of striking remixes, adding a powerful epilogue to the body of work.  

Up first, prolific Colombian artist Filmmaker on 'Mind Corner', which injects his brand of mechanical body horror into the cerebral piece. Australia’s Jensen Interceptor makes a splash by ratcheting up the heat with the big bounce of 'I Hate You', while IMOGEN engineers an electro-robotic work from an unknown future or past on 'Stranger or Lover'. 

Next up, DJ Loser takes things back to the club with his floor destroying interpretation of 'Alone' and slowing things back down, Vaal’s remix of 'Last Things' brings the melancholy to the forefront and pushes us down a dark spiral of emotion. Rounding out the release, Prequel Tapes revamps his own track with 'I Hate You (Prequel Tapes Salvage Mix)', which is the perfect ending to this chapter, fuelled by fear, anger but ultimately hope.

Years of Denial is back on Veyl with their second LP 'Suicide Disco Vol. 2'. The follow up to 2019’s 'Suicide Disco', the duo makes a triumphant return, elevating their distinct sound which fuses dark wave, goth, new-beat, post-punk, EBM, and techno. The LP features 12 tracks all written and produced at Ark of Noise studio, located miles away from the polluted noise of social turbulences, immersed in isolation, creative indulgence, and poetic writing. 

From the start, 'Art Break' provides the perfect warm-up, gently cleansing the palette and re-introducing us to Barkosina’s lustful vocals with a slow-burning pace that only marks the beginning. 'Wrong' picks things up, injecting a dose of body music for an infectious piece that bleeds into 'La Pendue' which keeps the energy rising. Next up, 'Mr. Guillotine' delivers a razor sharp edge, carving out a fresh post-punk feel which then brings us to the brooding, 'Never Satisfied'. 

'Lover’s Crime' marks the halfway point of the record and one of the album’s standout tracks. Undeniably seductive with an ominous feel, the pair keep this mood going with 'City Lights' and then smash things open with 'Dancing With Demons'. After the devious message sent with 'The Letter', we are submerged in the romantic melancholia of 'Death Of A Lover' and 'Regarding the Pain of Others' before closing things out with 'Social Anxiety' which features vocals by longtime collaborator Broken English Club. The result is an immersive journey through the pair’s self described, Suicide Disco sound, and further builds on the Years of Denial form and legacy.

Veyl welcomes Blind Delon to the label for their third album, La Métamorphose. Founded in 2016 by Mathis Kolkoz, the project released several EPs leading up to their first full length, Discipline (Khemia / Unknown Pleasure Records, 2019) and their subsequent follow up, Chimères (Manic Depression, 2020). Originally a three piece before the departure of guitarist Theo Fantuz after their second album, the project then focused on refining their sound and energy through alternative projects and more EPs before adding a new member ahead of their latest opus. The band currently consists of Mathis Kolkoz (Vocals, Guitars), Coco Thiburs (Bass) and Thom Mayor (Synths, Guitars).

Fueled by cold bass lines and synthesizers of yesteryear, French post-punk and black romanticism, Blind Delon shatters genres and styles to create an evolved strain of synthpunk that wears its influences proudly while mutating into something totally new. La Métamorphose represents a fresh direction - a heavy, post-metal sound that’s full of emotion and raw intensity. 'Le Crépuscule' opens the album with a hard hitting piece that commences the experience perfectly. Next up, the group kicks things into high gear with the speedy, heavy-synth play of 'La Violence' featuring vocals by Fivequestionmarks, followed by 'La Mort', a blackened post-punk cut featuring the one and only Curses. 

Label head Maenad Veyl makes a guest appearance on the fourth track, 'L’Homme', which drifts into deep experimental melancholy with a cinematic feel. Keeping with this mood is the powerful 'L’Affront' featuring The KVB, which descends further into darkness before resurrecting with the immense feelings of 'Le Sarcasme'. Track seven, 'La Noyade', drills into the skull with growling vocals and menacing synths which bleed nicely into 'La Foule', slowing things back down with a subtle yet lingering sense of dread. French project Poison Point arrive on 'L’Envie' which moves guitars back to the forefront for a raucous ballad that sets up the final piece and title track, 'La Métamorphose', the glorious grand finale of an album teeming with emotion and begging to be played again and again.

Veyl is proud to welcome back to the label one of the most essential and multi-dimensional producers today, Filmmaker. To date, the Colombian artist has delivered a plethora of revered releases from his breakout, The Love Market (2019), to his previous album on Veyl, Fictional Portrayals (2022). He consistently traverses genres from post-punk, EBM, synth wave and beyond to create a unique identity still firmly rooted in film culture. Now he returns with perhaps his most robust and powerful offering, Hollywood Cult. 

Comprised of 13 tracks, the album sees the producer elevate his sound to new levels, conjuring a world of haunting atmospheres and devious directions that take the listener through a journey of unparalleled proportions. Kicking off the album is the ritual-like 'Secrecy', which builds tension before exploding into a synth-driven race against time and introduces us to the world that lies ahead. 'Holy Wood' injects a heavy dose of body music for an infectious piece that bleeds perfectly in to the slow burning nostalgia of 'Generational Trauma'. Next, 'Western Malice' picks the pace back up with its evil energy that feels fit for the best horror scenes before 'Shocking Therapy' enters the picture with an exhilarating electro feel. 

Now in the depths of the journey, 'Vessels Wine' continues the saga with a high intensity work that gives way to the stirring emotions of 'Peacekeeper Ripper' and the raw, blood lust of 'Criminal Rite'. Now entering the final phases, 'Spiritual Harvest' cleanses the palate before 'Elite Dungeons' comes crashing in with a lo-fi feel that puts you deep underground. 'Two Sets of Rules' charges back with twisted lines before 'No Fetish Without Evil' unveils post-punk strings that puts you in a trance before 'Hanging Finale' closes the release ultimately fading out into the abyss. Repeat listens will be necessary and the whole album feels like a soundtrack to a dark new world that is perfectly fitting for any Hollywood Cult.

We have always thought that the creative treatment given to an album should always be different from that of an EP or any other type of release. It is possibly the best way to get to know an artist, as it tends to reflect other more personal aspects of the author.

Velvet May is a project that was officially launched in 2018 and whose aesthetic focuses on post-punk, EBM, techno and industrial music. This Italian producer, currently based in Berlin, debuts on Veyl Records with Enchanted By The Muse, his first album. And that's why we would like to know what his impressions of this work are, as well as other questions that are of interest to us.

Veyl is pleased to welcome Harlem back to the label with a new 8 track LP titled Cage. The Stockholm-based duo of Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge last appeared on the imprint with 2021’s, Bait, and the project now returns diving deeper in to their infectious cocktail of menacing electronics. 

Bringing with them a vast body of work, ranging from dub to minimal techno, with Harlem the pair fuse electro, no wave, post-punk, disco, proto-body, dub, hip-hop, and grime, creating a unique sound that cannot be categorized. Cage opens with “Shut Your Body”, a muscular piece which drills into the surface, setting the stage for what’s to come. Next up is “Fantasy Scan” a dance floor ready jam that picks up the pace and lures us into the pleasure dome. “Blow by Blow” brings a nihilistic energy to a fictional scenario that takes its cues from the past while remaining firmly in the now. 

“Kiss The Steel” continues on the slow burning path, dropping us into a dream like state, blurring the lines of reality and plunging us into a surrealist nightmare or reverie? “Dummy Up” comes roaring back, injecting a dose of electro and body that sounds like a soundtrack to your favorite cult gathering. With “Sleuth”, we hear the repetitive grind of a man at work, searching for the unknown, unlocking new mysteries along the way. As we head toward the finale, “Contact High” brings back a seductive dance, ready to movie bodies and stir emotions. Closing things out is “Wiggle Walker”, returning us to a drifter’s journey, a wanderer’s melody that carries us to the end, or is it just the beginning?

Harlem - 'Cage' (clips) | VEYL043

The Swedish duo Harlem, composed of Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge, is a project with more than two decades of history, though its trajectory has been marked by pauses and significant sonic transformations. In its early days, the group explored the realms of techno and electro, crafting a dynamic and avant-garde sound within the electronic music scene. However, after a period of inactivity, Harlem resurfaced in 2021 with Bait, an album released through the Italian label Veyl that marked a turning point in their musical evolution.

Rather than returning to their original identity, the duo emerged from dormancy with a darker, more abrasive approach, leaning toward EBM, new beat, and industrial electronics. This stylistic shift allowed them to connect with a new audience and fit perfectly within Veyl's sonic universe, a label known for its shadowy aesthetic and penchant for raw, atmospheric sounds.

Since then, Harlem has continued refining this new direction, delving into dense, tension-filled soundscapes where hypnotic rhythms and industrial textures intertwine, creating a sound that is as energetic as it is unsettling. And although four years have passed since their last appearance on Veyl, and they have even evolved their name to Harlem Electronics, the essence of standout works like Bait, as well as their subsequent releases on labels such as Body Musick, remains alive in Cage. With this new eight-track LP, they reaffirm their identity once again, pushing even deeper into their signature dystopian electronic sound, blending abrasive textures, oppressive rhythms, and an atmosphere that is both hypnotic and menacing.

With a vast trajectory spanning diverse genres such as dub and minimal techno, Harlem has developed a sonic identity that defies categorization. In this project, Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge fuse elements of electro, no wave, post-punk, disco, proto-body, dub, hip-hop, and grime, shaping a mutant sound in constant evolution. Their new LP, Cage, is a work that moves between chaos and structure, darkness and hedonism, abstraction and physicality.

French musician, producer, and live artist Contre Soirée aka Olivier Decodts makes a significant return to Veyl with 'Psychiatry', a four-track EP shaped by deeply personal experience and emotional intensity. Rooted in post-punk, the release blends electronics with guitar parts, everything performed by Olivier himself.

What may have initially sounded like a PR stunt quickly revealed itself as anything but: ’Psychiatry' was conceived, completed, and sent to the label during Olivier’s stay in a psychiatric hospital. The first three tracks form a raw and honest narrative, tracing the events and emotional journey leading up to his hospitalization and explore the boundaries between vulnerability and resilience.

Closing the release is a cover of the Pixies' 'Gauge Away', a long-time favorite of Olivier’s. His rendition pays tribute to the original while placing it firmly within the emotional and sonic context of the EP, a final note of reverence and catharsis.

'Psychiatry' is a fearless expression of personal truth, pushing beyond the dancefloor to uncover something more intimate and affecting.

Prolific duo Years of Denial return to Veyl with another genre bending, dance floor ready EP titled Love Cuts.

Acting as a transit between 2023’s Suicide Disco 2 and the forthcoming Suicide Disco 3, Love Cuts explores the various angles of love - ranging from the digital to the forbidden, toxic to erotic and beyond. A blend of death rock, future goth, EBM and rave, we once again find the project’s poetic, powerful lyrics fusing with motorized beats and 4x4 rhythms.

Kicking things off is the shadowy, death rock inspired, "Devil in a Skirt", an infectious ballad about a temptress that may not be what she seems. Next up, "Affaire de Coeur" delivers body fuelled stabs which elegantly bleeds into "Hide & Sick", a more high energy cut, set to scorch the floor. "We Are The Party" keeps the pulse pounding with your next EBM anthem while "In Your Bed" shatters sonic boundaries and leaves things drenched in acid rave. "AI Lover" closes things out with more future goth rave energy which acts as both a warning and a desire for more.

Love Cuts builds on Years of Denial’s previous work while setting the stage for what’s to come. Commanding vocals and dominating beats transmit a powerful message of both the dystopian and euphoric. Remaining uncategorizable, the project continues to evolve their unique sound while burning a path toward the future.

Aitcher Clark steps out from his work as one half of LOFN (Veyl, 2021) with a first solo long-player that draws a sharp line between the club and the cinema. 

The 7-track LP moves with intent across ambient space, industrial techno frameworks, and restrained neo-classical harmony. It favors patience over peaks, detail over spectacle, and a narrative arc that rewards a start-to-finish listen.

The campaign begins September 19th with the lead single “Improperly Planned Experience”, an industrial-leaning cut driven by a relentless drum pattern and an eerie, immersive atmosphere. Stark and physical, it sets the tone for the album with its focus on tension, texture, and shadow rather than melody. On the same day, Clark will debut a new live and visual show at Lunchmeat Festival in Prague in collaboration with visual artist OXOO, translating the record into an immersive set where sound design and reactive visuals lock to the micro-gestures that run through the album. The performance is built around custom stems, live resampling, and dynamic lighting cues that mirror the music’s push and pull.

Across the LP, Clark threads field-recorded texture with precision drum programming and layered harmonies, avoiding predictable drops in favor of pressure that accumulates over time. The palette is cool and tactile: detuned pads, clipped low-end, and percussive details at the edge of audibility. Moments of clarity, strings, voice-like synths, negative space, arrive as structural markers rather than ornaments.

For Veyl, the album sits comfortably within a catalog that values forward motion and atmosphere, while opening a more composition-driven lane. For listeners who followed LOFN’s 2021 release, this solo debut widens the frame: less collaborative call-and-response, more solitary architecture, with the same focus on tension and timbre. The live show with OXOO extends that idea beyond the record, using visual rhythm and color to render the music’s internal logic in real time.

The A-side of the cassette is completed by the melodic slow burning energy of 'D.M.M.R.M'. Written and produced in a country house surrounded only by vast, empty landscapes and an endless sky, ‘Suicide Disco’ is the fruit of a 3-year long collaboration and Years of Denial’s debut LP for Veyl. 

Urged to escape from crowded cities and information overload,  the duo sharpened their sound and working process through isolation and introspection, crafting 11 songs filled to brim with enormous hooks, New Wave nostalgia and razor-sharp production details.

Barkosina’s voice echoes and oscillates against Jerome’s snares, profound and wounded at once. 
Her expressionist narrative take us to unknown yet familiar places, amplified by dub delays and otherworldly reverbs. Each track tells a story based on the intensity of relationships, a touching and distorted invitation into intimacy and complicity.

Veyl presents 'Nuit' - a split-EP between two excellent projects we're enraptured to share with you. Both hailing from France, Blind Delon (Toulouse) and Contre Soirée (Paris) share a similar vision, bringing music from before any of their birth dates into the world of today.

Dedicating their sound to cold bass lines and synthesizers, the 80s, french post-punk and black romanticism, both acts spent their nights observing, describing, thinking, crying, each in their own way. Building a bridge between the melancholy and urgency defining that era, ’Nuit' is the fruit of this labour and will be out on January 25th.

Berlin-via-Warsaw high roller of the new generation of techno VTSS aka Martyna Maja returns with a mesmerising 6-track EP titled ‘Borderline Tenderness’, this time from Berlin-Milan label VEYL run by Alex Knoblauch & Maenad Veyl. 

Following a tremendously acclaimed collection of releases showcasing her fresh take on dance floor belters through Intrepid Skin, REPITCH, HAVEN and also featuring on KAOS, Monnom Black and Hellcat; this new record expands her horizons to different sides of her odd electronics as in ‘Woah’, while also giving a proper dose of her well-known craft to incorporate hardcore, EBM and acid influences on cheeky techno grooves. 

Collaboration with friends and colleagues is key for VTSS in order to evolve. Consequently the EP includes a handful of features from the likes of LSDXOXO, contributing vocals on ‘Goin Nuts’, which is also available as a bonus instrumental version.
