In the heat of the summer we are lost somewhere between the desert, our adventure continues as we are flipping through our diary. 
On the eleventh page we are looking for an oasis, a musical path with sounds from the heart of the Mother Earth. We close our eyes and let the rhythm take us away. 
Our guide on this journey is a traveller coming from Poland and the city of Warsaw, with his 2,5 hour nonstop mix he gives us a breath of coolness.

He was born with a significant hearing loss, forcing him to wear deaf aids which led to him creating an alias, “Deaf Can Dance”, to promote the downtempo scene, and overcome the challenges he faced. He began DJ-ing in 2005 and since that time has to become one of the most renowned DJ's in Poland.
As he said about himself: “I never wanted to be perceived as a person with hearing difficulties. I wanted to be treated the same as everyone else. For a very long time, even my friends were unaware of my dysfunction and using the deaf aids. But, over time, I noticed that I had gained a greater distance towards this situation, changing my weakness into my strength. The main idea of this project is a musical trip through the world of sounds - unusual and uncommon ones."

From the first moment in the passage where this small house is located, all travelers who pass by and want to initiate us to the secrets of their homeland are welcome. 
The way of expression for us is through music, it is all these sounds that every traveler presents to us and that's why we support all the artists who in this way aim to take us to these places and challenge us to explore them, which goal it's to stimulate the mind and the body and to awaken unprecedented senses. 
In this small house there is a diary, in which we ask from every traveler to leave his own imprint that characterizes him and to remind us of his passage through this path. 
In this way we want to present all the artists who express themselves through organic and electronic multicultural sounds from around the world.

𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑫𝑰𝑨𝑹𝒀 𝑶𝑭 𝑬𝑻𝑯𝑵𝑶 𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑪𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑨 • PAGE XI ~ Deaf Can Dance

In the year 1606, the famous Italian artist Caravaggio produced the painting Supper at Emmaus. This celebrated picture is housed in the capital Milan. Supper at Emmaus 1606 describes the event that unfolded as recorded in the Holy Bible, specifically in the book of Luke 24.

Caravaggio had mellowed during the four or five years intervening between the two versions of the subject, and this Emmaus has become sacramental in effect. Although its format is similar, details have changed: the aged serving woman added, the innkeeper moved to Christ's left, the still life reduced to a meager supper; and the poses and gestures have ceased to be bombastic. The colors, still varied in hue, have become less striking, the light softened, the atmosphere deepened, the fattura loosened and its glossiness dulled - as in The Death of the Virgin. These changes, none very drastic in itself, indicate a transformed conception of the subject.

It is a mystical story about a journey up a magical Black Mountain, full of legendary heroes, monsters, and tales told by the local villagers.

It includes live edits, live instrumental jams, and the very best of Slavic electronica that fuses old traditional sounds with modern styles in from slowtech, downtempo, ethno-organic house, and psy-organic dub.

Desert Raven has long been a keen follower and student of traditional Slavic folk music and ethnic styles. He’s been DJ'ing for almost 20 years, being one of the best Greek Breaks/Techno/Tech-House DJ's. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals (Sola Luna, Balkan Voices, Urban Rhythm, Reworks, Butterfly, Spring Festen) alongside Slam, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Angel, Luke Slater, Dominic Eulberg, Modeselektor, Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts), Coldcut, Octave One, Eddie Piller etc, and many venues throughout Greece and Europe. He has done warm-ups to artists likes Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, Mushroom (Massive Attack), Frank Popp, Bjorn Torske, Bentley’s Rhythm Ace, Snowboy, Hooverphonic etc. He was one of the first radio producers playing Breaks/Drum N' Bass and Electronica in his legendary “Tricknology”, “Brainwash” and “Cinematica Paradiso” radio shows.

As a producer for almost 10 years, the Art Vibes label boss has multiplied projects and relentlessly ran in the melodic techno & deep, organic, progressive house circuits, connecting with others on the path of music as therapy. The resulting listen is often haunting and thought-provoking, resonating a depth and pain that Veytik has come to seek safety in, not from.

Veytik’s style continuously evolves alongside his own growth and his response to world events. Featured on a variety of labels — Cafe De Anatolia, Shango Records, Harabe, Trndmsk, ICONYC, Closing Sounds, Tibetania Records, Camelriders, Souq Records, 90 Watts [Manual Music], Click Records, Re:Sound Music, and his imprint, Art Vibes—it wavers between eclectic influences, from ‘80s,  synth-infused cinematic, to the heyday of ecstatic trance music and more recent deep, melodic, and organic house sounds. This last undertaking is reflected in his 'Akkulturatyon' mix series, a year-long project exploring how sharing culture and experiences through sound attacks prejudices and paves the way for progress. Uptempo positive energies mixed with similar yet melancholic vibes and live keys. And 'Akkulture' mixes which are a more downtempo & ancient-rooted sound.

After his disco project as D1rty Kickz where he toured and played 80's tech house & live talk box all over the world and after his his recent melodic techno theatrics, Veytik’s new deep chapter roams with the same dark undertones mixed with uplifting dualities. Crafting a place of obscurity, acceptance, and illumination. More than ever, the artist is ready to reach out, break barriers, and build bridges from all the facets of who we truly are—our whole.
