An orchestration of L. Boulanger's little piece, for an orchestra sized 2.3.3.2. 4.1.0.0. Timp, glock., tam-tam, harp and strings.
My aim was to try and get as fresh and delicate an image as possible. The orchestation tries to stay fairly thin throughout, with climaxes being very brief. The piece is filled with swoops of energy and light. I have decided, too, to transpose the piece to the more manageable key of C major. Hope you enjoy!
