It’s rare to find such a diverse producer with years of untapped potential ahead of them; but R.O.M is just that and so much more. The multi-instrumentalist from Dudley, UK, plays a range of guitars, drums and keyboard. Despite his age, R.O.M’s core influences stem from early 90s R&B and smooth jazz.

Unlike most children, R.O.M started producing at the age of twelve to put his thoughts and experiences into sonic explanations of his emotions. After studying the technical side of music theory at college and currently studying a degree in the field; R.O.M is expanding his fortitude with Novation Launchpad, Launch Control XL and Serato to add a new dimension to his studio and live performances. 

The majority of his music is derived from the smooth vibes of Planet Ex; where he focuses on relationships, ex-girlfriends and past loves. Interestingly the feelings in his music are only exceeded by his love of R&B songstress Tori Kelly; who is a self-proclaimed fan of his remixes.

Andreas’ techno journey ignited near the Dutch border in West Germany, where he was immersed in the vibrant underground rave scene. Inspired by the raw, hypnotic sounds of the mid-90s, Andreas embarked on a sonic odyssey, mastering production and mixing. Relocating to Bavaria in 2017, he embraced hardware instruments, pushing creative boundaries. Today, Andreas captivates audiences with his distinct, underground sound, weaving sonic tapestries that push the boundaries of techno's landscape.

FZPZ’s Hidden Personas is a poetic dichotomy of traditional and modern, classical and electronic, cultural and ethnic. It is also an apex of maturity, culture, and inspiration. Even the titles illustrate an episodic narrative, each a distinct persona and trait of the artist, revealed while on a personal journey of self-discovery.

This new resonance draws influences from 70s Soul, Neo-Soul, Jazz and even classical. The distinct orchestral soundscape is a significant dissonance from the usual microwave and throwaway beats, which also reflects his current influences of Phyllis Hyman, Miles Davis, and you hear a lot of Yutaka in “Swordsman”. Hidden Personas is executed with sophisticated dexterity, a clear indication of a new direction forward for FZPZ.
