Vhyce returns to Pets with more of his beautiful signature cosmic disco and his timing is exquisite. Making his debut on Catz & Dogz label earlier this year with 'One Day We'll Float', the release landed just at the right time as we all plummeted into a bleak new year.

Now as summer begins to open up again, and things look a little brighter, he returns with equally precision-timed sounds. With its sultry bassline and big romantic pads, 'Monde Réel' hits with a big dose of hope. Translating to 'real world', this is a homage to the future. And that positivity remains on 'Insieme'. This time translating to 'together', it's another moment of unity as Vhyce takes us up and down the scale in classic Q&A arpeggiated style. Soft, gentle but emotionally soaring; you can almost feel the hugs as the woozy synths roll out.

Always one for balance, Vhyce includes the much tenser and introspective 'Subdued' for those darker moments when unity and togetherness seemed so far away. Then Catz N Dogz close the show themselves with a startlingly bright and dreamy take on 'Monde Réel'. Hopeful, fun, wholesome feel-good electronic music. Because Vhyce makes it so damned well. And because we all deserve to float again.

Vhyce is back with his third release on Correspondant, Birdsongs in Woodland. Based in La Louvière, Belgium, the Portuguese-Italian producer and DJ uses his music to tell stories. With this new project, the artist opens up a soundscape full of 303 lines and classic Roland percussion. Eponymous track “Birdsongs in Woodland” is a slow-build, evolving layer after layer into a euphoric slice of dance music. On “Universe”, the stars align to create a harmonious, glimmering and highly danceable track with a strong use of piano riffs. “Your Breakthrough is Near” features a solid four-to-the-floor kick as a foundation for melodious instrumentations through acid melodies. Finishing off the project is “Flowers”:  still going heavy on the 303 basslines, it explores a more hypnotic and dancefloor-oriented path. All-in-all, Birdsongs into Woodland showcases Vhyce’s talent at crafting cosmic melodies tailored for a dose of dancefloor escapism.
