The message of the song really resonated with feelings I've certainly had when trying to prove something to myself.

I wanted to take a lighter, musical interpretation of the song that focused on melodic percussion as opposed to hard rock beats.

And Julia Waneka, a friend and talented singer in San Francisco, was kind enough to help :).

For the second verse, I wanted to layer in a light Pakawaj to build on the groove.

Also wanted to play around with how a harmonium could bring a more uplifting spirit to the song.

While it's easy to listen to the flute, try to pay attention to the strings supporting the melody.

Julia recorded about 36 harmonies to help bring the track to this climax.
