"Interdimensional" explores the paraphysical dimension of cosmic music. It completes the dilation process of his sound, which began with the albums "Silencers" and "Ancient Death Cults And Beliefs", which now form an ideal trilogy inspired by what is beyond the boundaries of science.

"Interdimensional" is inspired by the scientist Michio Kaku who theorized what could be the remote future of the human species; beyond matter, the stars, and known dimensions. A future that could lead us to the victory over the end of everything, beyond the foreseen and inevitable death of the universe known to us.

Also a cosmic record in terms of sound, "Interdimensional" is pervaded by a sense of stasis reminiscent of Thomas Köner's isolationist electronics, but still characterised by the use of electrified instruments, analogue synthesizers and recordings of resonant metal objects. Unlike the previous albums, however, the typical dark experimental / post industrial sound of Sonologyst is filtered through hazy warping reverberations and infinite delays, which musically depict the intergalactic journey of a civilization in search of a possible future beyond death.

Simple Pleasures

Kees aka Boydelay fell in love with a cute 1987 Peugeot 309 car named Ellie. This tape symbolizes the feeling of freedom that they experienced and together they represent the era of the records played on the cassette. After one summer of bliss, on a dark and stormy night Kees and Ellie crashed and the dream abruptly ended. This mix of mostly eighties 12 inch maxi vinyls will be an echo and a reverberation of Ellies car speakers resonating in your living room. It is filled with vibrant tones and melodies and covers the whole dynamic range, so that even when racing towards the sun with the windows rolled all the way down, every emotion can still be enjoyed to the fullest.

Once upon a time we dreamed of a world free from household drudgery, helped by robot butlers, self-cleaning appliances and "smart" homes that saved energy and tidied after themselves. Yet despite decades of high-tech innovation in the home, we've barely reduced our workload – and still no one's managed to automate the folding of laundry.

So why is household labour stuck in the past? If technology won't save us, what kind of political fix will? And why does the list of chores just keep getting longer? These are some of the questions explored by Helen Hester and Nick Srnicek in their new book, After Work: A History of the Home and the Fight for Free Time.

Eleanor Penny visited Helen and Nick at home in Surrey to discuss the impact of automation on our domestic lives, the neoliberal fixation on the nuclear family, the possibility of public luxury, and how raising their own family has informed their thinking on the promise of the post-work society.
