The single revels in its energetic nature and reaffirms the Wisconsin native's prowess when it comes to the genre of Wave. Eerie synth builds pierce through a veil of silence, with atmospheres evolving into a sonic earthquake, picking up swirling sharp synths, fast tracked by underlying hi-hats. REMNANT.exe returns to vibe.digital in triumphant fashion with the Psychokinesis EP after his debut on Sable Valley. Bringing his unique flair of melodic clarity to his bright, warm, and dreamy world, REMNANT.exe paints an evocative and atmospheric picture set against a deeply dystopian soundscape.

Snowballing, contrasting synths in alternating tempos overlay the opener, “Psychokinesis.” “Collapse” is propelled by vivid arpeggios and a slow, gentle swirling of ambient melodies cut with oscillating sub heavy bass notes. Salient in its clarity, “Superposition” is propelled by a symbiotic relationship of bass and retro synthesis. “Energy Field” is striking in its hard hitting percussion and mind-bending distorted bass that rides right up to the edge of total pandemonium. “Persistence” takes us home with a memorable melody and cinematic soundscape, rounding out a notable EP.

In his debut release on vibe.digital Recordings, Gladkill strikes the listeners heart in his ‘Cold Comfort’ EP, made for the veteran bass music connoisseur and newcomer alike.

‘Words Inside’ is a heartfelt ballad, setting the tone for the emotional direction of the release. The title track, ‘Cold Comfort,’ maintains the emotional edge and brings the listener into a new depth, both icy and sanguine, while ‘The Way You Like’ is a well built, purple bass inspired banger, suited for nightclubs worldwide. ‘Waterways’ brings it back to Gladkill’s roots and what made him the west coast bass aficionado in the first place, with gorgeous soundscapes in the intro and proper, danceable bass stabs at the drop, and ‘Fragile’ rounds us out with a perfect, vibey set finisher which completes the message for the EP, hitting the balance between attentive poignancy, and energetic brawn.
