Die Vibes Ambassadors feiern 8 Jahre bewegte Crewgeschichte und tischen wie gewohnt vielfältig auf. Kredenzt werden gemischte Platten bestehend aus Serrato Schinken, funghi Grooves, cheesy Kaselines und Cuts Carpaccio.
An drehenden Kochplatten treten die Feinschmecker des russisch Raclette miteinander an und servieren basshafte Beat-Häppchen. 17 Köche, allesamt natürlich mit den nötigen Michelin-Sternchen versehen, werden dem Namen haute cuisine heute alle Ehre erweisen. 6 Live-Köche , 11 Einzelkochkünstler, die Banda Ambassada und la Famiglia inszenieren euch ein feuriges Spektakel und bunte Gaukeleien liefern den dazu passenden Augenschmaus. Auch junges Blut soll an diesem Abend gefördert werden und so gibt es auch noch einen Nachwuchscontest, dessen GewinnerIn sich am Dessert probieren darf. Die Decks sind getischt, an die Plattenteller und los.

About Selectah El_P: 
Selectah EL P is a Leipzig-based DJ/promoter of Jungle, Reggae, Dub and DnB music.
Starting in 2004 with his love for reggae music and 2 turntables, he realizes events. Living one year in Italy in 2008 he got in touch with a musically wider style and their scene. After his return, he planned bigger events from that time on together with the Vibes Ambassadors, such as the NativeVibes-Regular, which was headlined by guests like Jahtari, Isaac Maya, BadWeed, Amadeus, DJ K, Aries and the whole Ulan Bator Crew. He quickly then got skilled in selecting the faster breaks, such as Jungle and Drum and Bass. But, in his sets he is always capable of returning to their roots like reggae and dub, so that he played the aftershow of LEE PERRY in December 2010. The participation at the Lion-Dub-Festival and Serendubity in Berlin, playing support for AMADEUS, ARIES, CONGO NATTY, ISAAC MAYA, JINX IN DUB, Joe Syntax, TRUTH, Bulldogs, DJ K, D.I.S, Badweed and Bladerunner, Tenor Fly, Mystic Dan, Zhi MC and the Coordination of the Global Space Odyssey Leipzig were further projects.
Nowadays being influenced by lots of genres, he always bridges the gap of musical boundaries and his sets range from Reggae / Dub, Dubstep, Breaks, DnB to Ragga-Jungle. He is part of the rich and versatile Vibes Ambassadors Movement.

Brand new EP from DJ Delay: MIDI East

Since the release of the critically acclaimed “Brass Wires & Bass” album, DJ Delay has been busy performing around the globe and über productive in the studio. Playing shows from Australia to America, including the Glastonbury, Exit and Fusion festivals has provided plenty of inspiration for his sonic laboratory. In addition he’s remixed over a dozen world wide bass artists . Just in time for the 2012 Summer season, Beaming Productions is totally chuffed to present the MIDI East EP.

To the music – 4 deep and layered tracks, which delve into some of the music of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, disregarding visa controlled borders. Instead of audio tourism and simple phrase looping there’s thoughtful re-treading of solid melody. The focus is also not on homage to icons of the past via sampling, but on building the tracks from the ground up via soft synths and live recording. For this EP, 2 of the tracks have been blessed with the excellent ‘bouzoucaster’ (custom built hybrid fender guitar/bouzouki) & Qarqabeb playing of Berlin musician Shazam (Piranha records).  

Tracks in brief:

1. Baga Cumbia is velvety cumbia with a Turkish twist - complete with liquid drum and bass. 
2. Ustunde mixes Turkish lines with Chinese Zither into an outdoor Berlin tech house track.
3. Xopo mashes an angular 11/16 Tallava bassline with deep house.
4. Maricensko takes Bulgarian flavours headlong into deep, epic, heavy dubstep territory.


Each of the four are brilliantly polished & well tested on the dancefloors of the EU and North America in the early part of 2012.

- What's The Project?

MIDI east is:
 --- a MIDI pack of East-Euro/West Asian music 
 --- an open Soundcloud group
 --- a digital/other format EP release for DJ Delay
 --- an open-to-everyone project

all rolled into one.

The idea is to focus attention away from audio-sampling and onto feeding all those softsynths, samplers lurking on your computer with rich&raw MIDI .
Almost all the music within comes from the Balkans/Turkey - there's some pretty wild stuff in there... and  also some fromage too.
DJ Delay has made some interpretations from these files & a preview of 4 tracks are here.....

So, what happens is....
- You get the big ole bunch of midi files to play with...
- If you wish to do so, put the resulting track(s) in the soundcloud group made for the project (it will grow...and grow....)
- DJ Delay releases his versions and other producers do the same however they choose.

- What's in the MIDI pack?
Over 9000 midi files covering mainly Turkish/Middle Eastern tunes, with some Balkan, Greek  are there in the pack.
 
- How to use them?
.....entirely up to you... of course. The MIDI data is a combination of live playing and machine-sequenced. 
As the live parts have occasional fluffed notes/timing shifts etc.... they sound more natural and any real bloopers just get edited..or not...
Drop the midi file into your DAW of choice...Logic, Protools, Cubase etc. 
Note: Ableton live does not handle multi-channel MIDI files. You will get all channels mixed into one - not very helpful!
For Ableton - you must first use cubase/cakewalk/protools/logic etc to extract the different MIDI channel instrument notes&info.

Many of the tunes are traditional, but some are published, so check it out if you intend to commercially release your creation - search engines are your friend here.
MIDI files can be previewed on a Mac simply in the Finder and on Windows machines using Windows Media Player. 
 
- Where is the Soundcloud group?

When you upload a track you made to the Soundcloud group, it would be good to put the original MIDI file name in the description, but that's up to you.

- Where are the MIDI files?
The MIDI library can be found by typing BULBUL MIDI arsivi into your favourite search engine (or click here for google https://www.google.com/search?aq=f&sugexp=chrome,mod=5&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=bulbul+midi+arsivi). This library has been floating around online (author unknown) for a long time now. It is usually available as 2 or 3 rar archive files. Anyone experiencing difficulty with downloading can contact the label for advice. Producers are invited to upload their own music produced using the MIDI library to the specially created MIDI East Soundcloud group, making the project organic, open and ever expanding. This mix is a soundtrack to your Indian summer, if you’re having one right now, or a mix for those people that are in need of a lil’ sunshine. It’s a very summery/sunny mix to bring you out of your fall funk. Lots of juke/footwork and a lil’ jungle thrown in for good measure. There’s some jokes in there too. I went for the more soulful style of footwork instead of the colder minimal tunes meant more for the dancefloor. I played this exact set at the XLR8R boat party at Dimensions festival in Croatia this summer.

To tell you something about the Vibes Ambassadors story we have to go back into the year 2001. After a long period of saving money DJ Ratz-Baddz was able to buy himself two cheap Reloop mk2.
This was the cornerstone of the Vibes Ambassadors Movement.
Starting with classic HipHop and early Dancehall vinyls Ratz-Baddz improved his abilities fastly and infected a lot of his friends with this feelings of cutting old "black gold" discs (This IS and WAS especially for a generation like us, living up with compact discs, pcs and mp3s, a real oldskool and extraordinary feeling).
From the beginning of collecting every good 7" and 12" records Ratz-Baddz and Paloma could get in their youthful hands, they smashed a lot of home partys. As the recordbox was full enough for some public actions, the first big gig took place on New Year's Eve 2005 in the "TangoFabrik" in LE - the Vibes Ambassadors were born.
Rocking the parties from "Distillery" to "Feinkost" and "Gieszerstr. 16", Ratz-Baddz, Paloma , Logismo, Minima and twyk tried to establish a regular date in the "BasaMo" and to bring some good vibes inna di city. Also they played at the Global Space Odyssey 2008 with the ArtensionTeam.
Pissed off from the new Dancehall shit which was and is mainly too rough and sexist, we get intouch with the developing german dancehall with sense like Mono&Nikitaman.
Nowadays a wide range from Drum & Bass and Dubstep to Jungle and from Ska to Rocksteady inspires our own style.
Vibes are more than just feelings, they are messages which we try to bring to you. We want you to think and reflect about our chanted songs and yourself to fight for a better world.
