About Magic Touch

Magic Touch mixes the psychedelic ethos of San Francisco with the house movements of Chicago, Detroit and smatters the whole thing with a solid nod to the UK rave underground.
 
Damon Palermo has been making adventurous house and disco music under the moniker Magic Touch since August 2011. In a short time the producer/DJ has amassed an impressive following and several well-received releases, kicking off with the critically-lauded 100% Silk release "I Can Feel The Heat," which was a recommended release of the week at Boomkat and made 20JazzFunkGreats Best of 2011 list. Following his heady debut, Palermo released a split 12" with close collaborator Ital and a collaborative EP with Japanese producer Sapphire Slows.

Magic Touch has continued his prolific touring and release schedule. In 2013-2014, he released the "Nothing More" EP for Tensnake's True Romance label as well as "Palermo House Gang", a full-length for 100% Silk which is his most realized, collaborative venture to date. Most recently, he released "Found Love" also on Tensnake's label, and a single track on Kenji Takimi's "Crue L II Cafe".

Magic Touch live sets mix the psychedelic ethos of San Francisco with the house movements of Chicago, Detroit and smatters the whole thing with a solid nod to the UK rave underground. He has played live at Sonar, Unsound and CTM, and is also a formidable DJ, appearing at Berlin's legendary Panorama Bar, Lux Frágil and WWW Shibuya.

With a tech and deep house blend running through her blood, the now Hong Kong residing DJ is taking Asia and its neighbors to another musical level, running her own branded parties and showcasing her devout record collection to dance floor enthusiasts. 2015 saw Gaby Endo highlight the anticipated ‘Events in China’ panel at the debuting IMS China, where her global knowledge of underground scenes has translated perfectly into Asia and beyond. Relishing in the culturally diverse territory, Gaby has whole heartedly embraced musically educated dance floors while also inviting newcomers to the tech and deep house world.

Vibes is Hong Kong's most electrifying open-air music lounge. Tucked away in the lush courtyard of The Mira Hong Kong, a member of the Design Hotels™ collection, Vibes has hosted a long list of international DJ talents including The Magician, Classixx, Jupiter, Justin Faust, and Drop Out Orchestra.

The Vibes SoundCloud will give music lovers from around the world access to a curated collection of mix tapes dubbed, "Vibes ElectriQmixes." Driven and inspired by the alluring pulse of Hong Kong and produced exclusively for Vibes by internationally renowned artists, Vibes ElectriQmixes will be published on a regular basis.

The inaugural, "Vibes ElectriQmix: Vol.1/FKJ," will be released at the SoundCloud Launch Party to be held at Vibes at The Mira Hong Kong on 8 April 2014, 7pm to 10pm.
