"Never Odd or Even" - a palindromic mantra that perfectly encapsulates BMSS Records' holistic and now legendary approach to Psychedelic Trance.

Label head and chief pilot Boom Shankar presents the mind-altering conceptual double compilation project "Ailihphilia" (meaning a love for palindromes - words you can read forwards and backwards). Reflecting the label's dark/light dichotomy, LEVEL I is the "Moon side“, featuring a heavy psychedelic vibe; the forthcoming LEVEL II is the "Sun side“ featuring more trance-oriented anthems. Together they form a jaw-dropping 4-hour collection: one project, one journey, one narrative - a mirror of our souls, and a reflection of the deep psychedelic realms of the human psyche.

What an unbelievable moment to play before and after the effigy burn at Kiwiburn 2024. The break around 23 mins is when I turned the music off for the burn. Being able to bring in prog for the entire festival was so special. 

Seeing the moon dancing in the flames of the burn and hearing the roar from the crowd when I dropped the song back in was an incredible moment in my life

MeQueenOx, also known as Marlene, is a DJ from Braunschweig. She’s been behind the decks
for almost 2.5 years and has been performing in Braunschweig's club scene since early 2023.
As of October 2023, she became a resident DJ at Akulta.
In January, she made her debut outside of Braunschweig with a set in Hamburg at a
@hellodarkness.events event. In August, alongside her Akulta crew, she played the Goa stage
at Funkloch Festival.
Her music is defined by deep, dark basslines fused with playful, driving sounds from the Forest
and Darkpsy genres, with her sets typically ranging between 150-165 bpm.

This is a live recording of a dj set I played at Psycheground, NYC's Wednesday night psytrance party which took place weekly (for several years) in the basement of a small club in the West Village - the Fat Black Pussy Cat.  The parties always had great energy and it was one of my favorite places to dj.  Thanks Luis & Dreamcatcher for an awesome party and all the good memories <3 <3 !!
