Welcome to the next round fellow observers. Not so long ago, a young fella and his beautiful wife asked me on the beach of Balaton, if I would join his fresh nightclub for a monthly residency with long time DJ patner Infragandhi. We said yes, and started a sparking new night called, Museum of Modern Rituals. Always with a guest, probably with a live musician. The little but friendly club, called Ambient started its journey and we found a good cause to reach far out in the tremendously colorful world of electronic dance music, and deeper into the world, eastern, outernational, native, folktronic and abstract genres. Armin than closed the doors and started a more sunny part of his life, than suddenly sent me a mix, which i really liked. Of course we shared the same vibe in many ways, so the music we listened was no exception. Please welcome Armenian’s debut selection. First time on radiozora and to the world.

DJ Lorn started mixing in the late 1990's mainly in the house genre before discovering GOA trance in 2000. In 2012 started a psychill mix series called Ancient Realms which was picked up by Digitally Imported Radio and
airs every third Saturday each month. The show is approaching its 127th episode. Videos of the mix are posted to Odysee.com and D.Tube as well as Soundcloud and Mixcloud along with many other one off mixes and shows. Have been producing original music since 2018 and include these tracks in mixes every so often.

On Our Way to Ozora we continue our journey into a world of zen and creatures within, to catch a glimpse of what the Chill Out Dome will have in store for us this summer. Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã are bringing you the sounds of Zen Baboon. Tune in on 7th June 2014 Saturday 5pm CET on the Chill channel.

Zen Baboon is composed by Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã. 

Both were born in the 70`s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the music world. Musically and without mention any names and styles, both love projects with great sound quality and with original construction.

Daniel is a sound engineer that worked in a Lisbon studio for National Geographic documentaries and started producing electronic music in the late 90′s.

Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm. Started as dj, (dj henriq to name him) and producer in 2001. They got together in 2003 and decided to melt their musical preferences and create Zen Baboon.

With several tracks on VA compilations, their first album “Suber” was released on Electrik Dream records in 2013. They work basically apart and with the same software, keeping the continuous learning process awake.

Saafi Brothers’ mystical journey began in 1996 when, inspired by his travels to India, Gabriel Le Mar started a collaboration with Frankfurt-based producers Michael Kohlbecker and Groovetitan to research unknown spiritual flight zones in exotic club sound environments. After they had produced a couple of remixes, their friend Jam El Mar (Jam & Spoon) pushed them into making an album because they had their own ‘Saafi sound’: soul-wrenching deep ambient tunes, layered gently into trance, dubby bassy beats and softly progressive realms. 

The days and chaotic nights in the studio were long and full of enthusiasm as they deepened their roots of psychedelic ambient dub music. They called it the secret of ‘danceable speed’, where in ambient tracks you experience feelings through emotive music – starting with deep intros and then merging into dubwise beats that get the tunes rocking. 

Simon Ghahary signed them to BlueRoom and their debut album ‘Mystic Cigarettes’ quickly made its way into the hearts of music lovers, placing Saafi Brothers among the key artists of the electronic ambient scene with this now classic psydub album. It was logical to see a packet of mystic cigarettes on the cover, designed by Simon Ghahary with the fantastic painting of Brahma. Through the magic of graphic design, Simon turned a CD case into a packet of Indian fags: think huge herbal cones rolled seamless into triptastic charras cartridges tipped with jasmine roaches. It was an album for eternity – as well as a chill and dance album to space out to. 

After 23 continuous years of travelling and producing music together, it’s the Saafi Brothers’ deep friendship that keeps their rhythm beating, embodying the spirit of timeless music. They’ve retained their original love for chill out and dub music with deep and melodic soundscapes, while keeping their tribal techno roots as firm foundations for their musical masterpieces, consistently producing bass rich tunes to trip out to.

All the while setting their sights on the heart of the sun, revelling in the blissful energy of positive vibrations.

These 2 seasoned psychedelic surfers have designed a sonic spaceship, utilising Ableton as the brain and a bunch of midi controllers including esoteric iPad custom interfaces to fly this incredible music machine and take the noble genre of psychedelic dub into the next dimension.
