Rapid Operator

Another one that came together fairly quick. Experimenting more on the mix and panning. Getting there but learn new techniques every time. 

So far the feedback has been really good on this one. Funny because its not really over the top flashy guitar playing! 

All parts writing, arranged, performed, programmed, recorded and mixed by me.

Sous la pluie battante, je vagabonde solitaire, 
Dans un décor désolé, mes pas impriment la terre 
Des arbres noueux singent nos étreintes passées
Aujourd’hui je n’ai plus que moi à abriter .

Au ciel les éclairs étreignent la nuit noire,
Dans mon crâne rapiécé, règne l'obscur d’un mouroir
Chargé de rires, du trouble, de la langueur des amants 
Dans cette nature désolée, je chemine tristement.

J’entends le vent furieux
la pluie et le tonnerre
Je m’abrite comme je peux du rire des éléments.

Sans doute le matin dispersera les ombres
Faisant naitre la lumière pour chasser la nuit sombre . 
Moi j’avance ,égaré comme on sort de la guerre
Je n’ai aucun souhait je n’ai plus de prières .

Voilà l’orage qui gronde, et qui s'éloigne au loin,
Te souviens tu encore de la tiédeur des matins ?
Et puis le vent s’essouffle , laissant sa place au calme,
Pourquoi n’avons nous pu jamais baisser les armes ?

J’entends le vent furieux

The Laughter Of The Elements

In the pouring rain, I wander alone, 
In a desolate setting, my footsteps imprint the earth 
Gnarled trees sing of our past embraces
Today I have only myself to shelter.

In the sky, lightning embraces the dark night,
In my patched skull, reigns the obscurity of a mental home
Loaded with laughter, turmoil and the languor of lovers
 In this desolate wilderness, I wander sadly.

I hear the furious wind
rain and thunder
I shelter as I can from the laughter of the elements.

No doubt morning will disperse the shadows
Giving birth to light to chase away the dark night. 
I'm moving forward, lost like someone emerging from war.
I have no wishes, I have no prayers.

Here's the storm, rumbling and receding into the distance,
Do you still remember the warm mornings?
And then the wind dies away, giving way to calm,
Why couldn't we ever lower our weapons?

I hear the furious wind
rain and thunder
I shelter as best I can
from the laughter of the elements

The Dream Garden

Augustus awoke with a glassy tinkling in his ears. It was so cold that there was a sparkle of fine frost over the dormitory. On his bed lay a long, elegant crystal, shimmering from within. It was his last dream, frozen solid.

Wrapping his ragged blanket around him, Augustus cradled the frigid fantasy and sneaked out. He felt sick with fear as he descended the steep, narrow staircase. His bare feet were numb and he clenched his jaw to stop his teeth chattering

He knelt by the grey stone wall at the end of the garden, rocking the glistening gem in his arms until the first beam of the rising sun fell upon it. The crystal gradually lost its luster, fading and shriveling until Augustus was left holding the body of a large lizard with glowing skin. Its diamond eyes faded in the dawn light.

Fighting back tears, he scraped a hole in the vegetable patch with his bare hands, burying the body with the others. As he crept back to bed, he prayed he would dream no more dreams, at least until it was warmer and they could find their own way to the garden.
