Track Seven: “Long, Long Time” — A Quiet Heavyweight

“Long, Long Time” is easy to overlook at first—but give it space, and it reveals itself as one of the strongest cuts on the record. As the final collaboration between Lemondoza and Levitation Jones on “SEX FOR MONEY”, it feels like a parting statement, understated but deeply intentional.

Built on a drum & bass backbone, the track surprises with halftime trap breakdowns that feel less like genre exercises and more like fully-formed ideas. It’s generous with its subweight—thick and delicious, a body-moving low end that hums beneath the surface—yet somehow it still feels featherlight. This thing rides. And those chopped-and-reversed vocal loops? They’ve already been echoing at shows, with fans mouthing along even the reversed parts, pretending to know the song like the lyrics have been out for years.

Levitation Jones channels his inner Rick Rubin here via Reaper, arranging Lemondoza’s production with surgical restraint, while Lemonoza’s Ableton expertise fuels the machine. It’s the sound of two artists trusting the process—swapping stems, bouncing ideas across DAWs, letting the song tell them what it wants to be. The last track to make the cut for the album, “Long, Long Time” earns its place—not with flash, but with taste.
