Re-release of Rocker from the Album, Intellect (2019). Thanks to Au Contraire for making this sound how I imagined. 

This song is about a musician who moonlights as a bank robber. His excessive lifestyle is untenable, and after his last heist, his crimes are disclosed to authorities by his paramour. While he attempts to flee, he jumps out of a window in a desperate act, but falls to his doom. In the last moments of his dwindling consciousness, he realizes he was not a human at all, but a sentient fungus who manufactured a complex reality to maintain existence.
