Bio

I started DJing on belt drives from age of 14 playing vinyl's and progressed to playing Hardcore techno/Gabba all over Cheshire Wales and abroad mid 90s
I was resident at Rosie's Chester playing house/hardhouse and played a season in Kavos! Mid 90s till 02!
Was out the game from 2002 till lockdown due to family ties till 2019 when I decided to come back onto the circuit!

I am currently a Resident on 4  radio stations worldwide including two popular monthly shows on FNOOB Techno(UK) called Industrial Bedlam co-host with Atze Ton and Sole host of Technophobia a industrial techno show with a special International guest DJ/Producer ! 
I have recently brought Technophobia radio show to a live event Technophobia which I am owner of based in Blackpool which kicks off May 19th ! I also play internationally  with shows on Radiotwodragons(Canada) and Superradiomix (Los Angeles)
I have played regularly all over UK at raves and live events playing dark, moody, hard industrial techno!
Events such as Subtek, Ignition and AVIT and Technophobia!

Techno music serves as the universal language that binds us, and I'm thrilled to have encountered numerous remarkable individuals on my journey through its realms. Among them stands Dj Capelli, whose electrifying Dj sets pulse with dark, pounding beats! Immerse yourself in his performance and keep the techno spirit alive.

DJ Capelli's passion for electronic music ignited in the late '80s at the tender age of 10, fueled by the resonating sounds of industrial music. By 14-15, he stepped into his first rave, discovering a vibrant community to call his own. At 16, he acquired his inaugural set of turntables and a mixer, channeling the influences of the Chicago house scene into his signature fusion of hard house, infused with the soulful essence of disco.

As the '90s drew to a close, Capelli became a prominent figure in the New Jersey and New York City party circuits, collaborating with esteemed local DJs such as Odi, Kazpa, Jo-S, Empress, Pauly, and Jevic from Sympty. By 2021, equipped with fresh gear and renewed vigor, Capelli emerged from retirement, unleashing a torrent of hard-hitting techno mixes that captured the attention of RTDFRAVERADIO .COM. - Roul Bauer aka Vicious Steam Engine was born 1978 in Germany. His Techno Passion awoke in the 90ies, with the upcoming Rave Scene in Switzerland & Germany.

The urge to create his own Techno Journeys was born at August 2020, during the Covid-19 lockdown. He started producing his own techno tracks one year later. He learned mixing at an Dj/mixing Workshop at Mixmasters.ch. Just for learning/training Sessions, he started an Techno Podcast called "Hot Pressure Stream" at Soundcloud. The Podcast and his Social Media grew steadily and other Guest Djs played at his Podcast, like Anne Rosko, Isca Nublar, 909RIOT, Traumtherapie, Dj E-Viction, Tchie, Andy Pirie, techno X-citement, Dj Capelli, X-Dream and Nao Tamura.

Vicious Steam Engine has been a guest DJ on podcasts such as TECNO OSCURO (2 DjSets), a Darker Wave, Techno Topic by Andy Pirie and RTDFRAVERADIO from Brooklyn. In his latest 2 guest DjSets for RTDFRAVERADIO he played alongside with great Djs/Producer like Franky Bones, Lenny D. , Jim Solis, D.A.V.E the Drummer, Rewilder, Chris Liberator, Dj Papa Smrf, Jay Maniakal, Dj Hoora, Bösetecha, Destro187, Belaroc and many others awesome Djs.

28.11.2021 he released his first EP at TECNO OSCURO: Dark Dance of Gratitude
followed by 18.04. 2022 by "Kill the Silence"EP.
Since 2023 he focused really deep on music production. He was at 2 Techno retreats of Mixmasters.net in Ibiza, where he learned from legends such as Funk Dvoid, Patrik Berg, Harvey Mckay, Wehbba and Josh Wink. Now he is currently taking an online course in Electronic Music Production at Björn Thorwellen's Sinee Institute and try to master his Abelton Push 02.
