The Get Down - Episode III

Paying Tribute to the man that created an entire genre of music, thus influencing a generation of artists in so many different professions. From crate digging for samples as early as the 1930's to hip hop classics, Creating an environment surrounded by lights, lasers and nature.  PL revolutionized the listening experience for the edm culture and transformed the way we process music.  Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights (along with Michal Menert in the beginning) have been on repeat in my life soundtrack since I first heard his sound over a decade ago.  Hopefully this isn't the last we've heard from him. I really doubt he's done creating, he has so much left to give.  This mix was cultivated with some of his originals, some remixes of his originals as well as some artists who he has had a major influence on, with their sound and style.  I have so much respect for Pretty Lights, the production team and his light and sound crew.
