I was asked about a year ago to sing this for a lovely lady's birthday party. I nearly didn't as I'd always thought it a 'bloke song', but then did a little research and saw that some great female singers have also covered it. So I took the plunge, tuned up my whistling and gave it a go. And I'm so happy that I did. It always gets a great reaction and never fails to move me when I perform it. 
I don't usually do this but I'd like to dedicate this recording to one of the bravest women I know.

Bit of departure from my usual, but I've wanted to record this favourite track of mine for ages and finally got round to it. The lovely husband mixed it for me. Suzanne Vega is a bit of a hero of mine and I hope it does her justice.

Tom's Diner

I know tagging an iconic comedy duo isn't the norm but I first heard/saw this track on their series. I think I'd already fallen for Kirsty and her voice anyway, but knowing she was pals with Dawn and Jennifer sealed the deal for a life long love of her music. 
Was great fun adding a bit of Tammy/Dolly into the vocal and BV's with a sprinkle of Jodie Foster in the mix! Hope you enjoy!
