We're not done

HI! I just released my first CD and I'm so excited to share it with you. It's six well produced songs I know you'll enjoy.  So I hope you'll take a minute to listen to them.
 
I've been a songwriter from youth, taking books I read as a child and turning them into epic poems, just because I like to make things rhyme. I learned to play guitar when I was sixteen. I wasn't one of those kids who was popular and hung out and did whatever it was those kids did. I spent a lot of my time learning chords, and getting my fingers tough. I played for church under Sister Katherine Marie, who was very encouraging and also got me playing mandolin and violin. Mandolin is one of those instruments that sounds good no matter what you do!
At 18,I joined the US Army and traveled to Germany. I was drawn to all the rock star wannabes. A few of us formed out own little group and jammed. We weren't very good, but we had a lot of fun and I learned a lot from those guys. Steve Alaspa, if you're out there, thanks man!!
I've had a lot of amazing adventures in this life. Too many to get into now. I married a wonderful man, Leon, my gift from God, and we have two awesome kids, David and Jenny.
 I've worked various jobs including working for the US Postal service as a rural carrier. That was an adventure!! Later on I realized my calling to be a registered nurse and am now working in Fort Worth, Texas and I find adventure in that as well!
 Through it all, my constant companions have a been an acoustic guitar and a notebook. Songwriting is more than a hobby for me; it's an obsession! I love to meet other songwriters and hear them sing their songs as well as the great guitar players I meet and try to emulate. It's a learning process on a continuous basis and when school's in session, I'm in heaven!!
