Something about Vic Spencer's music makes you want to punch someone in the mouth. Seems like he's speaking to all of us because we know someone like this. He's bold enough to express it on Red Eye.

"I named it Red Eye because I had looked at my face in the Red Eye (a Chicago-based newspaper, free to the public) paper with Chance the Rapper and I was wasn't dead. I used to think being in the newspaper, if you are black, you in there because you're dead or something bad happened where my mugshot is the headline" Spencer says. "I was in the paper because I was heading to SXSW to do a show with King Louie & Chance and that year we were all over the headlines. But, I'm a hardcore rapper, you feel me?"

Red Eye is for the Red Button Series: Part 2 and serves as an appetizer for what's in store for Spencer in 2015.
