Please welcome the first episode of the "Treadwheel" mix series.

My goal with "Treadwheel" - as an emblematic thing - comes from my aptitude of turning in on myself, since I'm a quite introverted person and having an extremely tiring daily work doesn't really help on that. Not to mention, this is absolutely incompatible with today's trends of music business, so I had to find a way forcing myself to stay active and relevant. I cracked my brain a lot with it and realised: what's a better solution than being inspired by other musicians in a regular fashion?
I already had an ongoing series called "Retrotech" in the past and after closing that childhood story with five episodes, I improved the concept into the "Treadwheel" mix series. I know there are already sheetloads of podcasts and stuff out on the market, so with this series, I'm trying to differentiate myself from all that messy mass a little bit. I want to present you loads of my current favorites as well, but always premiering upcoming stuff and bootlegs by myself, while being not afraid winking on the past with dozens of timeless classics, keeping a highlighted focus on my vinyl collection.

I dedicate this mix to Jeremy Fragrance and I tried to catch the energetic and somewhat mischievous attitude that he brings, my shared love of perfumes and want to give you a big dozen of motivation - not in the quackery sense - for this year. 
I featured some memorable bangers from last year, two tracks from the new "Beauties & Hoes" EP, a tool from my "Orange Fog" EP - which will be 4 years old this year! - and an exclusive track, dedicated to Jeremy Fragrance.
Originally, it was intended to be a NYE mix, but my old computer laid down in the grave, so I couldn't post it in time. After my new setup was completed, I decided to re-record it with a differently arranged, but much better tracklist - fly in the ointment, that's the way to put.

The latest pair of technical fizzers come bowling up to PM+ from the boss himself, shoulder-barging his way between business lunches with a shark-like instinct for what bangs and no quarter given for self-serious techno posturing. 

Fed into the party mainframe directly from the new Aasthma studio he shares with Pär Grindvik in Stockholm, Peder Mannerfelt applies his amped-up digits to exactly the kind of irreverent but brilliantly realised club monster PM+ was built for (with a little help from Grindvik, no less). 

‘Flash My Flip Phone’ hinges on the titular keypad tones as a sort of early 00s update on bleep techno with added doof. As a complementary serving, the ‘Flipped Groove Version’ notches up the steely, loopy mechanics of the track as an ode to kind of techno which moved mountains around the time most folk were flashing their flip phones. It’s a direct adjustment for a more visceral experience, but rest assured both cuts will slay as they order you to make way for the power play, elbows aloft, eyes on the prize.
