BLOND:ISH’s ABRA X imprint continues its run of superlative releases with a new single from Naples born DJ & producer Diego Cardarelli.

With previous releases for the likes of Lapsus Music, DCM Lab, Dirty Club Music, and Snatch! Records under his belt, it’s on Abracadabra’s sister label that he fires out a pair of steadfast winners on the ‘Orange’ single.  And it’s a welcome return to the label for the prolific producer, having dropped the ‘Sucias’ single back in 2024.

“This summer I spent a few months living in Ibiza, fully immersed in the island’s rhythm and atmosphere. From my small home studio there, surrounded by the sea breeze and endless sunsets, I produced these two tracks that capture the energy, warmth, and freedom of that time. Each sound came naturally, shaped by the flow of the island — from daytime calm to the deep pulse of its nights. As soon as I finished them, I sent the tracks to BLOND:ISH, and she instantly fell in love with their vibe. That connection made everything feel even more special, and now I’m proud to release them on her label, ABRA X.”

Back on his HIFI/LOFI home base, Franz Matthews continues his habit of turning up in
unexpected sonic spaces. Night Tales finds him delving into a more introspective, deep, and
melancholic palette, while preserving the organic warmth and groove-driven energy that define his
ever-evolving sound.

The EP’s opening tale, Again, takes us on a melancholic night ride through the ever-repeating ups
and downs of life, where darkness and light follow one another in an endless cycle - soundtracked
by an orchestra of lush synths, soft rhodes melodies, dreamy guitars, and Franz’s delicately
crafted vocals.

Howling at the Moon dives deeper into the night, driven by hypnotic percussion, dark synth
stabs, and haunting vocals that summon a sense of collective trance. The track builds toward a
wordless vocal chant that feels both human and otherworldly, unfolding into a swaying, almost
tango-esque groove where rhythms subtly intertwine.
