It starts with an exquisite calypso from Trinidad, released in the 60s and kinda nasty, then maloya with keys, from Mauritius Island, a deep reggae instrumental, afro percussions with a twist, gwo ka with synthesizer, afro funk, afro cosmic and electroid afro disco, ending with a tempo for a hot dancefloor. In this episode, titled "Bad News from the Stars", many facets of the man are explored : from 60s jazz for soundtracks to his reggae vibes, going through semi classic grooves and obscure French pop tunes, songs he sang or songs he wrote for others... Please listen to this like a journey, my own interpretation of his work, a score to his life.
