Saxsounds III - Steven Galante for Sax Duo and Electronics

Victoria Puttock is a classical saxophonist from Hampshire who is currently a fourth year undergraduate at Trinity College of Music, where she has benefited from the expert tuition of Melanie Henry, Gerard McChrystal and Mick Foster. Victoria began peripatetic lessons on the clarinet at the age of eight. At fourteen she took up the saxophone and under the guidance of Rob Blanken and Helen Walton her technical ability and love of music grew enormously.
She has performed at many prestigious venues including the Southbank, the Barbican, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the labour party conference and onboard HMS Victory. With a wide range of repertoire Victoria is accomplished in classical and contemporary performance both as a soloist and ensemble player. Her first concerto in 2009 was Jacques Ibert’s Concertino da Camera with the Solent Symphony Orchestra. Last year Victoria was one of only three finalists in the prestigious Trinity Laban soloist competition where she performed Henri Tomasi’s Concerto for saxophone and later this year Victoria is performing Glazonov’s Concerto for saxophone with The Havant Chamber Orchestra. Victoria also has a passion for musicals and has enjoyed tripling in numerous shows including Guys and Dolls and the Wedding Singer.
Benefiting from tuition from renowned saxophonists including Vincent David , Arno Bornkamp, Jonathan Rautiola , Mario Marzi, Kyle Horch and Antonio Canovas Moreno Victoria’s passion for performance has grown immensely and she is looking forward to continuing her studies later this year with a masters of performance at The Royal College of Music.
