Fantastic Planet returns with its sixth release, "Survival Mode," a powerful statement dedicated to the ongoing struggle for freedom in Georgia. This electrifying compilation brings together a diverse lineup of visionary artists, each channeling their own unique sound to amplify the message of resilience and resistance.

Survival Mode - is a mindset, a relentless fight for existence when all other options have been stripped away. It’s about the raw, primal instinct to keep moving forward, even when every door seems closed, and there’s no way back. In this mode, every moment is a battle, a test of endurance and resilience. 

For the people fighting for freedom in Georgia, survival mode represents their unwavering determination to push through oppressive forces, refusing to be silenced or broken. It’s the point where compromise is no longer an option, where you either rise or fall—but surrender is not part of the equation. This struggle is about more than just survival—it’s about carving out a future, no matter the cost.

Co-founder of Norway’s future-facing Ute crew, Ekkel (Teo Bachs) has a front-row seat in the cockpit on their psychedelic flavoured quest. From their woodland beginnings they’ve staked a claim to freedom through music and community, and expanded to include brick and mortar club nights and a self-titled label for the release of their magnetic and mysterious techno sounds. Forest-bath electronics that take stock of Scandinavia’s ambient tradition and cross-pollinate it with a measure of acid, trance and midnight sun. Teo’s own steadily rising number of productions (side project H25 included) has fleshed out Ute’s vision with a personal twist, and there’s another three scheduled for the fall. The past few years too have seen him hard at work exploring the possibilities of sound in a lonely cabin as part of Solar Alliance, collaborating with S.O.N.S on Korean label Junction Forest and producing many more unreleased tracks, some of which you’ll hear here first for a very special number. It’s a wormhole trip that marches headlong from the shadows, shimmering and physical beats that heave and swell, tribal breaks that flit from track to track and build a cathartic mood that harks back to Ute’s woodland roots. „In the heart of the once-vibrant metropolis, now reclaimed by creeping vines and golden grass, stood a relic of the tribe’s most sacred gathering place. A circular amphitheater. When the tribe had thrived, this place pulsed with life. At dawn, they assembled for the meditative harmonies of ambient soundscapes, nightfall was their time of celebration. House music rose from the circle like a living entity, joyful yet introspective, designed to celebrate unity without drowning the senses.“

Hailing from the beautiful city of Tbilisi, Zaqaria made his first marks on the world of electronic music in the form of a YouTube channel. Uploading rare finds, peek bangers and weird rhythms from all genres alike, the self-named channel slowly rose to cult status among us Basement members and beyond our small but dedicated scene. Many tracks were discovered via his curation and eventually played out at some infamous parties we had the pleasure of sharing with you. We are more than happy that we could reach out to him and convince him to join the tribe of Aural Language to deliver an hour+ of house music extravaganza. Cherry after cherry, picked with an eye for detail, is what’s giving this recording its warm feeling while still keeping energy levels up throughout the whole stretch.

Takumi Inamoto’s one of two minds behind Transcendence (the other fellow beat hawker DJ Maria), the Kanto region’s highest proposal for community-oriented music nights. It’s a rave collective that’s proven a trusty channel for his brand of squelchy, Goa-infused trance, profound and ritualistic techno with a direct line to the limbic brain. An expansive sound that has evolved from a keen affinity with Japanese rave culture and out of his steadily growing collection of CDs and records. This master selector deals in skittish rhythms and ominously brewing atmospherics, and walks a hazy path through the twilight realm that precipitates a kind of reverence that’s often rare. From his native land to KUNE Festival and Amsterdam's Garage Noord, these prolific beats are exporting a style palpably his and putting his sigil on the ascendant. Bassiani Podcast 238 is his prototypical sound, a throbbing mass of beats that morphs larger in the direction of unmapped worlds, a two-hour studio mix that unapologetically pulls you towards its slick and hazy centre.
