Amy: Doctor!

Doctor: (runs out of the TARDIS and sees the Angel) Ah.

River: Where the hell did that come from?

Doctor: (scans the Angel with the screwdriver) It's a survivor, very weak, but keep your eyes on it!

Amy: Where's Rory?

(The Doctor examines the Gravestone which is next to Amy, it says 'In loving memory Rory Arthur Williams aged 82)

Doctor: I'm so sorry. Amelia, I'm so so sorry.

Amy: No, we can just go get him in the TARDIS. One more paradox-

Doctor: It would rip New York apart.

Amy: No, that's not true, I don't believe you.

River: Mother, it's true.

(Amy walks over to the Angel)

Doctor: Amy, what are you doing?

Amy: That gravestone, Rory's, there's room for one more name isn't there?

Doctor: What are you talking about? Come away from the angel, come back to the TARDIS, we'll figure something out.

Amy: The Angel, would it send me back to the same time, to him?

Doctor: I don't know, nobody knows.

Amy: But it's my best shot, yeah?

Doctor: No!

River: Doctor, shut up, yes it is!

Doctor: Amy-

Amy: Well, then I'll just have to blink, right?

Doctor: No!

Amy: I'll be fine. I know I will, I'll- I'll be with him, like I should be. Me and Rory, together. (River goes over and holds her hand out and Amy takes it) Melody...

Doctor: Stop it, just- just stop it!!

Amy: You look after him! And you be a good girl and look after him!

Doctor: You are creating FIXED TIME. I will never be able to see you again!

Amy: I'll be fine, I'll be with him! (is now crying)

Doctor: Amy, please, just come back into the TARDIS...(his tears can be seen visibly)...come along Pond, please!

Amy: Raggedy man...(turns to face the Doctor)...Goodbye! (suddenly disappears and the Gravestone now includes, "And his loving wife, Amelia Williams, aged 87."

Doctor: NO! (breaks down in tears, knowing he has lost Amy forever...)
