The band was founded in 2010. In the process of creation of their own music Videatape musicians are guided by electronic music and first albums by Radiohead. Together they've just published a debut album, entitled "Parad Planet” (a Russian name for “Syzigy”). This album touches upon the spheres of feelings, spiritualism and symbolism. In a digital and overly networked world, the romance of solitude and physical experience seems to increase, at least for this quartet. They certainly ask audience members directly to reconsider the potential and appeal of their own physicality: "Get up from behind the computer and go outside - at least for a stroll. Take off your headphones and take a listen to the city's sounds - or to the rustling of a nearby silver birch. We're not asking people to head off to some distant realm; just try striving 'inwards.' Our album is full of these notions... Take a look inside yourself and try to enrich whatever's there. We mean a kind of internal, not external improvement. And genuine self-improvement never involves building spaceships; it means building a [new and better] universe within yourself."
