001 "Flaws"

When editing a documentary film, the subjects' voices and perspectives offer moments of inspiration throughout the process. This segment holds pieces of an on-camera interview I conducted with Professional Make-up Artist and Entrepreneur, Linda Camacho, in 2014, during the production of Indie-Comedy Film, Mind Over Mindy. Linda is a featured subject in my documentary, The Dream Film.

002 "Inspired"

Robert Fox, with his script in hand, is ready to begin filming his scene in the comedy film, Mindy Over Mindy. He plays the character, Herman, a retired man who accompanies his wife to a used car dealership for a new set of wheels. This interview is special because it demonstrates the kind and strong spirit of Robert Fox, an honorable man, who is sadly no longer with us. When filming a documentary there are chances to interview and connect with others that leave a note on your soul. Following this opportunity to capture Robert on-set doing what he loves: acting, has provided another magical fold to "The Dream Film" because like several others, Robert's self continues to live-on through the medium of independent film.

003 "Typecast"

Sitting across the way from my rolling camera, capturing for "The Dream Film," is actor, Jim O'Heir, an immensely talented and charismatic performer with a rich career in arts and entertainment. We discuss his early beginnings and pursuits, Hollywood, and his work as an artist. Laughter and inspirational moments fill the space as he shares a glimpse into his world. This segment is cut together using footage from a full-interview with Jim during the production of comedy, "Mind Over Mindy."

004 - "Comedy"

Introducing the main theme music to documentary, "The Dream Film," originally designed and composed by the multi-talented artist and producer, Peter Spero. There are two versions of the track that both will be utilized as the familiar atmosphere within the framework of the film's story arcs. When "The Dream Film" was just a mere concept in 2014, several stock music selections were demonstrated and experimented with to help set the mood, tone, and rhythm of the film. As a director, I knew I wanted to utilize the beauty and haunting nature of instrumental piano work; and I've always felt that the classical nature of piano drives the worldly themes within the script's narration. I described this to musician, Peter Spero, an extraordinarily talented composer, who graciously took my request as a director. There are two versions of the song which exist: one is the original first-run and the second includes my notes to add in a heavy Euro-influence since some of the dream sequences of the film will include my personal travel footage throughout Russia and Eastern Europe. Peter took this challenge head-on and included additional instrumentation to the likes of accordion which draws perfectly to the regional sounds requested. These tracks are the heartbeat to the documentary, making the film come to life.

005 "Composed"
