Here at Allergy Season we like to think our fates are tied to the forces of nature, whether the rain will wash away the pollen or feed a new bloom that causes us to double up on our eye drops for the day. Lady Blacktronika is nothing if not a force of nature. On countless releases over the last decade she has continually broken and rebuilt the house music wheel, crafting tracks with a completely unique perspective, and a devastating effect on the dance floor. There is a difference between reference and reverence-- Lady Blacktronika always goes heavy on the former, and never bows to the latter. 

Across "Rave Rinse Repeat" Lady Blacktronika dissects classic samples and stitches together 4 essential tools. In "Feel So Good" the cavernous sounds of rave are whittled down to just their organic elements and paired with a stomping house beat. In "Je Te Adore (Shut That Door)" a funk bass line climbs and descends the stairs endlessly, while a whispered voice coo's in our ear. Through out the EP breakbeats, tambourines, hand drums and vocals echo and filter in a psychedelic swirl. 

Allergy Season head Physical Therapy hands in big room ready remix of "Feel So Good" under his DJ Overnite alias. Putting rave samples through the meat grinder and ending up with a buzzing acid drenched techno take.

For almost a decade, he has quietly been releasing music through multiple other aliases like Noir Hour or SEXFORSELFHELP, before making records as Viktor Kalima on labels such as Infidel Bodies or Amok Tapes. The six new tracks he made for that DMS cassette are a product of cherry-picking from live sets, learning new gear, abusing borrowed equipment, stressing over developments and defacing breakbeat samples.
