More Than All The Gold

Entenka (炎天下) means Under A Scorching Sun in Japanese. This song tells about the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, seen from the perspective of a child who thinks the sun has come closer to the earth and burns everything. 
It was written after visiting the heart-wrenching Atomic Bomb Museum in Nagasaki, where you can read that the atomic bomb created a 3,900 °C fireball over the city: just like bringing the surface of the sun half a km from the ground.

This is a modern version of The Warsawian, a revolutionary song with 3 centuries in the making: the original music dates back from late 19th century, the English lyrics were written in the 1920s, and now an additional bridge and new lyrics were added by Vii-Pii in 2017.
Reflecting the migrants crisis in Europe, 'toiler' was replaced by 'refugee' and the lyrics dramatically apply to today's reality. 
The song was released on June 20, World Refugee Day.

Eerie melodic soundscapes evolving into brutal slide guitar frenzy.

Tiana was a tree, a huge tree near the family house. 
A storm took it down one night in December. 
We all came to the house to clean up the mess. I missed the train and had to hitchhike my way there. We burnt the wood for days. 
I was 17 then and the house was never the same again.

This poem from Tolkien's The Hobbit tells the backstory of the Dwarves of Erebor, and it awakens the adventurous side of Bilbo. It is sung by Thorin's Dwarwes in Bagend, but as Tolkien left no music with it, there has been many (great) musical adaptations. Here's my take at it. I chose to focus on the Dwarves' nostalgia for the beauty of Erebor and the mastery of its craftsmanship - where the dwarf smiths used to "mesh the light of Moon and Sun".
