The first track from VÏKÆ's ****DEBUT ALBUM**** 
Focussing on dance and house music exclusively, VÏKÆ wrote many of these songs during quarantine last year when she was revisiting her old Ministry of Sound records that she spent all her pocket money on and collected in secret as a child. Inspired by her younger self, VÏKÆ wanted to make music where one could dance around the living room screaming into a hairbrush microphone and even for a moment just forget the bothers of the world around them. Acknowledging the irony in writing house music whilst being stuck in her house; a small hint of frivolity was an appropriate escapism from the world's climate at the time (which sadly has not yet changed for many parts of the world). As a poet first and foremost each song has been carefully crafted with impeccable lyricism and emotive songwriting; with a desire to blend the best of house music with elements of pop. Teaming up with Will Henderson the soundscape features old school 80s house synths like the Roland D-50 and E-Soniq Mirage as well as fat 808's, spicy marimbas and random samples from every day objects found in the studio. Both musicians are huge house music fans so naturally made an absolute dream team. VÏKÆ wanted Will's influences and musicianship to be featured in the EP as much as her own... so Will's silky smooth vocals actually feature on a few of the tracks too. The EP was recorded at Parachute Studios in Auckland.
