The Upload

Here it is, my favorite set I've ever played. Recorded live in a communally created wonderland in the woods. I've never felt such a powerful exchange of energy with so many people. It was a lesson in surrendering to the moment, trusting yourself and those around you, and being free to express yourself fully. I'm proud of this one, thank you all who built, who trusted me, who showed up as your fullest selves to sing, dance, and play. Enjoy <3

ARSES - INSTINTO (KVADRAT Live)

Mix number 12. A personal milestone and a checkpoint to look back at and be proud of. Creating a mix for me is a weird process. I consume the tracks over months and even years, put them in playlists and imagine what kind of ride I can take us on. There’s tracks that fit better towards the start of a mix, and there’s tracks that sound better towards the end. Everything in between is improv magic for me. I know what sort of order I want to go in, but I never systematically know exactly what order they’re going to be played. Sometimes I get up and I know I’m going to bang one out to my best ability. Sometimes I get to minute 35 or 50 and just turn off the cdj’s. It’s a fun and psychotic way of always wanting to put my best foot forward and illustrate sounds that will please all our ears. 

This mix goes out to the homie Pandazos. One thing I’ve noticed and love about pandazos is that he brings excitement to anything. He’s just one of those guys that radiates excitement, even for the most mundane things. He doesn’t even try. We can be out shopping for different types of rice to cook, and it will be exciting. The way his big curls bounce up and down, the way his bulky body walks through the market aisles lol.. he’s just a fun ass dude that I’ve known my whole adolescence to now, but have only recently grown a more tighter brotherhood. That’s the gift I appreciate from Pandazos. The excitement. Also, the guy is an artist in the kitchen. He cooked me breakfast, lunch, dinner and MIDNIGHT SNACKS for 7 days straight. I would have starved in the Costa Rican jungles without him. He makes beautiful somethings out of literally nothing in the kitchen. This mix is a little more minimal driven, like how he likes em, but I still add my little flavor of what I love from that genre.

The EP's opens up with the first track “Can't Put The Shit Back In The Horse” a HOT summer club tune, with a remix is provided by a young, emerging Israeli producer Eden Dahari,  followed by another floor-filler track “Nothing Back There For Me” where you can feel the sand of the beach beneath you while you dance.
