Alongside the mini documentary for JAM RTBF, I did a DJ mix which was broadcasted last weekend. The recording was strongly influenced by my opening set at C12's Open Air the week before, a gentle deep house trip, 100%%%% vinyl. 

In this new episode of Face B, DJ Kong - aka Koen Galle - opens the doors of his home to us. The DJ and writer shows us his impressive collection of vinyl records, meticulously organised in a bespoke piece of furniture by Michel Claus, "Walrus", where he keeps his records, archives and books that help him prepare his projects, as well as his turntables. He talks passionately about three nuggets from his collection, using carefully chosen tracks. He also talks about the common thread running through his work, which is finding stories to tell in order to showcase the work of artists. 

Dans ce nouvel épisode de Face B, c'est DJ Kong – alias de Koen Galle - qui nous ouvre les portes de chez lui. Le DJ et écrivain nous y présente son impressionnante collection de vinyles, minutieusement organisés dans un meuble sur mesure de Michel Clauz, "Walrus", lui permettant de classer ses disques, archives et livres qui l’aident à préparer ses projets, mais aussi d’y intégrer ses platines. Il nous parle avec passion de trois pépites de sa collection par le biais de morceaux savamment choisis. Il évoque également le fil conducteur de son travail, à savoir trouver des histoires à raconter pour valoriser le travail des artistes.

this turned out to be a really special night. going into it I was coming off a wild music filled weekend where I'd slept 5 hours in the 48 hours leading up to this set. I was feeling super inspired when I started packing records 3 hours before the gig - but also running on fumes so I couldn't really overthink things. we're our own worst enemies, right? packed up around 250 records and hoped for the best

started at 9PM and before I knew it, the club was filled. at least 90% of the people there were friends i've met on this journey with music that has consumed my life as long as I can remember. it made me so happy to see all of you that came, and to finally connect so many people i've met with one another. despite the exhaustion, I felt the love and it kept me going. for those 4 hours I was truly in the zone - it was like every next record picked itself, even stuff I've had for years and never had a chance to drop

thank you Kels for this opportunity, and thank you to all of the friends who came out to dance. this night was truly a highlight of my career - because I was able to share it with so many people I care about
