VILANDER is an alternative Aussie rock band from the Adelaide Hills tucked away in a backyard shed in Aldgate. The whole thing began pre Covid by long time friends Dave Gerner (drums) and Dee Kay (guitars and vocals) with multiple changes to the rest of the band’s line-up. The name Vilander is an ode to the 90s tennis player with a similar name who was a drug fueled sex-craved animal in a gentleman’s game… and that’s what we’re going for; we like to mix a little bit of stupidity, a little bit of intelligence, sprinkle a bit of sex on it, mix it and then drink it. We’re just a couple of no one’s bored with life who get a buzz out of playing tunes together.
