Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, Vahak Paul met songwriter/producer, Walter Dicristina back in the winter of 2008/09 while they were working with their close friend and Universal Music songwriter/producer, Jayson Dezuzio (Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Cobra Starship, Christina Aguilera, Lana Del Ray) at Jersey City studios, Treehouse Sound. They immediately bonded over their love of Sneaker Pimps/IAMX, Massive Attack, Portishead, Depeche Mode, New Order, and Joy Division. Over the years they have both performed and toured in many NJ/NYC based bands, but soon realized they needed to be writing music together. This culminated in the two working on a remix for ††† (Crosses). Villain + Zaver was born. Since then the two have worked on songs for upcoming pop gothic songstress, Car Astor, as well as other projects. Hopefully, we'll revisit this project again soon.
