Wrote this a month or two ago, and recorded it on a whim tonight using Apple headphones and Garageband. 

Recorded/mixed/mastered/all that jazz by myself, in my bedroom.

Lyrics:

You just left again.
I watched your car from my window,
As the tail lights faded into the dark.

And it's tough on the both of us;
Falling asleep in each other's arms

Was once the only thing we knew.

And now each night is far worse than the last without you.

This is going to take some getting-used-to.

In the other rooms across the hall
They all fall asleep with the TV on
As I lay here alone
Counting stars along the ceiling,
Pretending that the constellations
Are just as flawless as the ones in your eyes.

But they don't shine as bright,
And I'm not used to it.

But I always make a wish
As I close my eyes each night,
That by the time that they open
The dream that I so often have
Would finally,
finally,
come true.

Every night is worse than the last without you.
