Evening twilight in a forest of Corsican pines in North Wales. 
A raven roost, joined by Jackdaws and Rooks, settles down on a calm and warm September evening.

Kudawa, Sri Lanka

A Full moon shines on an old rice Paddy alive with fire flies and amphibians. Many of the sounds in this recording are from the many species of shrub frog found in this area. The tinklings and clicks come from them.
Recorded on the edge of Sinharaja Rain forest in the village of Kudawa, south west Sri Lanka.

Many species of Amphibian call in this recording.
Frogs identified visually at the time were: Harlequin tree frog (Rhacophorus pardalis), Dark-eared Tree Frog (Polypedates marcrotis), File-eared Tree Frog (Polypedates otilophus), Wallace's Flying Frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus) Green Paddy Frog (Hyarana erythaea) There are more frogs to be heard high up in the trees and in the leaf litter and a Sunda Scops owl(Otus lempiji).

A Coastal swamp forest after sunset as a (delirious, oppressive?) chorus of Brown marsh frog (Hylarana baramica) fills the night air. Up in the canopy Proboscis monkeys are settling for the night.

The Ravens at twilight

Three recordings from the Danum river valley forest reserve in Sabah Borneo recorded in April 2017. All tracks were made in roughly the same location and recount the passage of dusk to night and night to dawn. This is by no means a full representation of life in the forest, rather a incomplete (lacuna of day) cycle that represents the great daily changes of light and dark with the animal movements and calls at these hours.

Mid morning in the damp highland forest of the Leuser ecosytem.  Elivation  1500m
Main 'singer' here is the Fire-crested barbet with distant Partrige and Thrush, also Sunda cuckoo and the 'Lar', or White Handed Gibbon.
