The influential Ukrainian duo ARTBAT has been enlisted to bring their unique melodic sounds to a new remix of Röyksopp's 2005 smash ‘What Else Is There?’ The iconic original has been streamed 10s of millions of times and ARTBAT are contemporary electronic tastemakers with a global fanbase, so this is a perfect pairing of two musical giants.

Despite only starting to work together in 2015, ARTBAT has played to tens of thousands of people at festivals all over the world, had their faces on giant billboards, and been Beatport’s biggest selling artists for the last two years. The prolific pair have a put out a steady stream of high quality, always innovative sounds including hit remixes of Monolinks’s Return To Oz and Sono’s Keep Control, which both charted for more than 12 months at a time. As well as collaborations with Sailor & I, CamelPhat, Dino Lenny, WhoMadeWho, Matador and Rafael Cerato, the pair's solo work is always both accessible and melodic yet forward-facing and innovative.

Retaining the iconic vocals of Fever Ray and The Knife frontwoman Karin Dreijer, ARTBAT’s fantastic new remix of 'What Else Is There?' transforms the classic Nordic chug of Röyksopp’s original into the type of high drama big room house music they’re renowned for.

Pete Tong has confirmed a BBC Radio 1 play on the day of release and this essential new track will feature on a new playlist curated by the band highlighting their biggest remixes.

This is another huge release for ARTBAT, who continue to redefine their own unique sound with each fantastic new outing.

'Felix Kröcher continues his run of releases on August 27th, with his new single “Vision”. 

His latest single “Passion” was another symbol for the connection Felix has to the nightlife. The night is what drives Felix, what makes him feel alive and what is the driver for being active over twenty years in the scene. 

Live events and shows are gradually coming back and the society is starting into a new “normality”. 

Felix’s new single “Vision” symbolizes his vision of the night and nightlife. He longs for getting back on the dancefloor with his fans & listeners. 

Prior to the global pandemic, Felix Kröcher was touring with over hundred shows a year, playing venues and festivals like Nature One, SonneMondSterne, Mayday, Time Warp just to name a few. 

Felix tried to channel his creativity into new projects during the past  year. 
He founded his own label called "We Are The Night" and developed a podcast of the same name with one of the biggest radiostations for electronic music - Sunshine Live.

In typically thrilling form, Tiger Stripes returns for his annual outing on Drumcode. 

His ‘Rocket’ EP was conceived during the pandemic as the Swede busied himself with paternity leave and taking care of his little tiger. During these fulfilling stretches of time, the pair immersed themselves in everything from Aphex Twin to Kelly Lee Owens and Yazoo, while at other times the Spotify playlists Electronic Rising and Altar would frequently soundtrack their playtime. The producer took this spirit with him into the studio, aiming to harness the positive energy of his reference points and combine it with his signature brand of multi-faceted techno. 

The EP opens with the title track, marked with a distinct UK flavour and packed full of late ‘90s dance energy. Its uplifting chord progression and tidy breakbeat interlude imbue it with plenty of warmth and colour. ‘Fire’ is a sharp attitude-fuelled cut driven by a heavy bottom-end and zippy percussion, while a bad arse hoover dominates proceedings. The muscular ‘Your Love’ is comprised of multi-layered bass stabs and catchy vocal licks, which combine for an arresting finish. ‘Song for Debbie’ rounds out the package, a marriage of dream pop and woozy late-night techno. This is Tiger Stripes at his transcendent best.

This the remade extended version of our Men I Trust Edit. For the story we didn’t manage to get the rights so we replay elements by elements (piano bass drums vocals …) all the parts of the original song and we remade our edit of the new track !

The process took us 5 month of re-recording and listening in studios. We made our friends listen eyes closed so that they couldn’t recognize which one was which until it was even hard for us to recognize it !

Of course there will always be  differences and the tracks will never exactly be the same but we are really proud of the result after all this work and hope you like it too ❤️

On Reinier Zonneveld’s remix, the Filth On Acid boss warps Topping’s vocals from ‘Planet Session’ into a pounding track complete with ravey stabs and grinding low-end. Sola_mente Records founder Deborah De Luca flips ‘Quick To The Mothership’ into a trippy, late-night techno cut, before Drumcode, Hot Creations, and We Are The Brave affiliate Rebūke rounds out the release with a sharp, jacking take on Topping’s ‘Lift Off’.

Teenage Mutants: To tell the truth, nothing specific. It just shows the sounds and style we really are into at this very moment. After 7 years of releasing music from deep to tech house, from melodic techno to peak time techno – we had all chances to explore our music. At the moment we focus only on techno. In this particular release, same with the previous “What We Think” along Giorgia Angiuli, you will feel a mix between techno and melodic parts. (...)
