Started writing in 74 but was still in high school and not many of my mates were musicians.  Finally put the whole thing together after trying to work with musicians who only picked up their instrument in the late seventies.  Kept the drummer and did everything else myself.
Copy of a tape, which was a copy of a tape, which was another copy of a tape, finally dumped years later to recordable CD ROM.

Running Away

Song about heroin addiction, first hand experience.  Originally played and sang all parts.  Never mixed, live in studio.  Replaced bass with Darren Frate.  Replaced drums with Mike Hricko.

One Sad Life

A song about depression driven  intentional suicide.  Once again I originally covered all parts.  Never mixed for final.

Heart of Winter/ One Sad Life

My hope is no one looks at green tractors the same ever again.  The upfront guitar lead is actually a keyboard being run through a guitar processor and amp.

Sad love song> Lyrics written by a man who died of aids because of relationships before he married.  Actual unedited words from a letter he wrote to his wife! Died in nursing home alone.

I Still Love You

The last words of a very good friend and musician who died of aids.  Wrote on an acoustic guitar with him sitting on floor, singing the words on the spot.

Longing for Home

The red line by my neck is the RAM drive I brought this recording home with.  Played with a remarkable team of musicians.

All parts and vocals by me recorded in the late seventies.   a reel to reel four track by teac.  But this is a third generation tape transfer, so I apologize about the audio quality.  Drums were replaced by real drums and I'm not playing them.

The Game

Metal, all parts played by me live one take; except drums. late seventies on tascam 4 track or Teac, can't remember.   Used Taurus pedals at the time, they were a thing.  Rush used them as well as Genesis.  Guitar was an Aria Pro, three years before the Gem.  Floyd Rose Tremolo system, one of the best.  3RD generation cassette copy.
