The lyrics of Contact High were written at a Dr. Dog show in Salt Lake City. It was right after we all got our covid boosters and bigger shows were happening. It was my first real show in like 2 years. It was dark, the lights were bright. Sweaty bodies pushing up against each other. Everyone was smiling and dancing and smoking. It felt kind of dangerous and very sexy. I was kind of nervous, but also completely at home.
