This is my entry for this cycle of the strandberg.spark-competition!
"Countryside" immediately made me think of my grandparents house, where we spent all our holidays when I was younger. Luckily, my very talented sister happened to be around and was kind enough to provide me with some video footage from the place. I then tried to describe it the best way I could musically, but without the use of words. 
You'll hear the sound of birds, that I recorded in my grandparents garden and some percussion sounds that I sampled from a knife I got from my grandfather. Finally the piece itself can be understood as a "compass" to my grandparents place, as the chords are based on the exact coordinates of the house. Hope you enjoy!

Vincent Ancot is a german guitarist and music producer with a refreshing disrespect for genre boundaries. His influences range from jazz and soul through progressive and experimental sounds to contemporary pop and hip-hop. Vincents strive for new and unconventional sounds was rewarded with the prize at the first DIANA AI-Songwriting competition alongside his team, Ashia Bison Rouge & FLOSS. 
As a producer, Vincent works with artists as diverse a singer/songwriter Till Otter and winner of german tv-show “Queen of Drags” Yoncé Banks. “I’m always intringued by how much a good production can change an entire song”, Vincent says. “It is my ambition to work out the message, the underlying feel of a song to the best of my ability”. 

Vincent recently released a moving remix of Moes folk ballad “Do You”.
