The Universe is infinite in every direction. Up to the stars and down to the atoms, layer upon layer of beauty is there to be found and admired. The Earth Viewing Experiment is a project about that path of discovery. Sounds of instruments and everyday objects alike are deconstructed and transformed, to reveal the hidden beauty within. A Train can become a singing voice, a harp can become a timeless texture. These transmutations are interwoven with field recordings from around the world and live synthesizer play into a journey without motion, an invitation to venture deeper into the self.

This time we greet two new members to our ever growing circle of artists: OWL from Belgium and Klara Vedis from Skopje who both sent us their material after OZORA festival has taken place in august. They feature very different mixes that cover the full scale of what we like to call “Natural_Selection style.” Enjoy!

First spotted on Nord Label, then more recently on Silent Season, re:st, Groundwork and Literature’s catalogues, Owl’s aptitude for creating subtle, lush sonic journeys keeps expanding and his last releases should further cement his reputation. The artist’s discography is in perpetual evolution. From experimental halfstep dnb, deep & dark techno, to a dreamy & melancholy ambient journey. Owl has quietly been rising through the ranks of a genre-bending leftﬁeld sound where sonic depth and expressiveness prevail. He put together a selection of his own and the best of the scene that is almost fluid and still athmospheric.
