Australia's Lancelot made a welcome return to Anjunadeep recently with the excellent ‘Connection’, one of the stand out tracks from our North American tour earlier this year. Now British duos Mak & Pasteman and Outboxx provide a double header of UK sounds on a dancefloor focused remix package. 

After cuts on Breach’s NakedNaked label, and Redlight’s Lobster Boy Records, Mak & Pasteman add their heavy warehouse techno twist to the original, warping the vocal sample around a surging acidic bassline and pulsating club groove. 

Bristol’s Outboxx take things deeper, cutting the vocal sample up over a warm bouncing bassline and lush pads, whilst the rising synth melodies and guitar riff from the original return in a mystical breakdown.

Lancelot - Connection (Outboxx Remix)

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint presents the eight installment of it's 'Correlation' series. Released in August of 2017, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of untapped talent along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. The label's borderless music policy was also well represented, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronica, from organic house to melodic house and deeper progressive grooves. In past editions, The continued growth of label affiliates 3rd Avenue, Crossfade Sounds, and Future Avenue have propelled the label's demo submissions exponentially across the last years. Dan Sieg has been hailed as one of the most gifted and versatile electronic music artists in our roster. Following his 2013 breakout hit "Walls" (feat. Maxx Hennard) - produced under the moniker of Dan & Sam - he has flown solo as Dan Sieg, released numerous works (including a solo album) that have spanned the electronic music spectrum, from trance to techno. Yet, the emotive and evocative quality of his music has always been a constant, regardless of the conduit of his sonic narrative. We are overjoyed to present a brand new 3-track EP by Dan, a genre-bending aural experience with elements of house, progressive, and melodic techno.

The title cut, "Everything U Need," is one of two consecutive tracks on the EP that feature the honeyed, baritone vocals of Jhana, better known to our community as the aforementioned Maxx Hennard. A deep, dark, and tech-influenced groove jumps out of the gate, soon met by the song's main vocal motif: "Stay with me, I've got everything you need." Subtle melodic elements and other-worldly atmospheric effects enhance the noir-themed soundscape. 

The subsequent cut, "Something More" (also featuring Jhana), finds firm footing in cinematic progressive house. Not unlike Dan's classic "Erko," it centers on a muscular, up-tempo groove and lush, sensual soundscape. Jhana, in superlative form, opens the first verse at the composition's quarter turn, with strong support from Dan's characteristically delicate and beautiful melody lines. The main breakdown features a deliciously smooth and truly breathtaking vocal solo from Jhana.

The only instrumental track on the EP, "Beatmuse," rounds out the EP. A hybrid of atmospheric breaks and tech house, with hints of traditional (world) music, the composition effectively displays Dan's diverse musical talents. By the song's midpoint, an exotic, if not primitive, soundscape fully emerges, featuring a sublime chant and a variety of other gorgeous themes.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this June for its tenth instalment. This time around we welcome a stellar lineup; six Anjunadeep alumni in Luttrell, Michael Cassette, Antic, Marsh, Just Her, and Fluida, and two label debutants in Wassu and Elif, all of whom will be playing at Anjunadeep: Explorations in Albania this summer.

An update on his 2016 belter ‘Need You’, Luttrell’s ‘Need You Now’ makes special use of his own vocals, building to a euphoric finish typical of the Beatport top ten producer.

After 8 years, Michael Cassette returns with the nostalgic ’Shadows Movement (Solar Energy Remake)’. An update on his 2008 label classic, the cut affirms Cassette’s high-energy production is as powerful as ever.

His fourth release on Anjunadeep, Antic’s mesmerisingly intense ‘Next Time’ plies his own vocals amongst a deep, acid-led arrangement perfect for those late hot nights.

A sure staple of summer 2019, ‘Like You’ is a collaboration between Marsh and New York producer and friend Wassu (FKA Weston Butler). This sweet cut sees Marsh’s own vocal drift on top of a sublime chord progression and distant field recordings.

A darker turn, Just Her’s invigorating ‘Nothing But Time’ marks the Brighton-based producer and Essential New Tune recipient’s third Explorations appearance.

Exotic duo Fluida return to Anjunadeep for their third release ‘Indian Kicks’; the track’s uplifting arrangement and rousing percussion stemming from samples of their own field recordings in India.

Closing out the release is the enlivening ‘Random Act of Kindness’, from label debutant Elif. Istanbul born, Amsterdam-based, Elif’s nomadic lifestyle is reflected in her multi-faceted production.
