“The Sinner” is a shadow-drenched track built on quiet devastation. Moody bass swells and cold, echoing synths set the tone, while the vocals cut through with a mix of bitterness and vulnerability.

A drum heavy, echo-laden, exploration into a hallucinatory experience near the water...and near to the lack of water.  And somehow, still downtempo pop.  

...and, as always, it is definitely still Interbay.  

That's the short version, explaining the origins of this latest Interbay track, "Ebb Tide".  I find myself exploring soundscape-based storytelling lately.  So, in this track, imagine that you're someone who works on a boat--sailor, fisher, etc.  They are on their boat and just waiting for the tide to roll back in so they have enough clearance to get away from their port area.  There's a song playing on the radio in the engine room, but it isn't properly tuned in--there is static...and it echoes in the hallways of the boat.  And then the engines start up...  

That's what's happening in MY mind--you may, of course, imagine something different than that...and that's absolutely valid.  That's the fun of working this style of music.  (Something that I get a certain Orchestral Manouevers in the Dark's more experimental and atmospheric stuff.)    

I promise you that there's some uptempo stuff coming, but this vibe is definitely part of what Interbay is all about too.  Hopefully you're into it.  Hopefully it makes more sense to glide into Christmas rather than sandblast you with some really noisy industrial techno pop.  

(Though, that will happen soon enough...trust me on that one.)  

I do love this sort of cinematic production--it reminds me of when I made radio commercials, trying to create a theater of the mind experience.

I would also appreciate it if you check out YESTERDAY'S track, "Couldn't Get Away"--which is an exclusive remix from a track that had debuted over on Facebook back in 2023.  I honestly thought it would be one of the more popular Interbay tracks--great wintery vibes and a cheeky sample that people my age would be amused by.  (ARE there people my age?  I think we're all dead!)

...but barely a handful of people gave it a listen.  Breaks my heart.  Every track deserves a listen, I think...but especially yesterdays.  So, if you have the time, check that one out too (and likes, reposts, shares, comments, and playlists are awesome for that one too!)  

Most of all, I'd be thrilled if you deccided to follow this page.  There's fresh Interbay EVERY SINGLE DAY (so far!)  And you never know what you're going to get--because *I* don't know what we're going to get on any given day.  (Yesterday at this time, "Ebb Tide" didn't exist...not even as an idea!) Vincenzo Ramaglia is a Roman composer and electronic musician active in contemporary music experimentation and in what he calls PEM ("Popular Experimental Music").

After the academic training - at the end of which he wins the TIM (Tournoi International de Musique) with an orchestral work - his music research insinuates itself into the alchemy between score and improvisation, between electronics, acoustic instruments (often investigated in their extended techniques) and voice.

He collaborates with exponents of the music avant-garde, including Massimo Ceccarelli (virtuoso of contemporary double bass), Renato Ciunfrini (multi-instrumental improviser), Laure Le Prunenec (singer of the French band Igorrr).
