Mike Shannon brings his debut Rekids Special Projects EP 'Shadow Moves' to Radio Slave's label, following the internationally acclaimed producer releasing three albums on respected imprints Plus 8, Force Inc and ~Scape. Alongside releases on his storied Cynosure Recordings, the forthcoming three-track 'Shadow Moves' EP restates why Shannon holds such a revered status in modern electronic music. The ‘Shadow Moves’ EP sees the Canadian artist deliver sublime techno with well-chiselled grooves.

After 'Shadow Moves', the next nod to its manga inspiration, 'Shijima', moves through tight percussive layering and jaunty, bass-led build-ups. Then comes 'B4B' featuring rhythmic, shaking subs as its clattering kick drums sit beneath. 'The Way We Rise' finalises the EP with shifting hi-hat patterns and growling bass levels as the cut weaves through its striding beats.

Here we have 'Well Travelled' from Melbourne's percussive, dubby, electronic funk outfit that is 'Birdsnake.' 'Well travelled' is a down tempo ode to the bush doof. We aimed to capture the feeling of walking through the forest back to the stage for a dance after some down time.

I original stumbled across Joseph back in the early aughts when Membrane Recordings was releasing a ton of cool grungy acid. He's kept to that since then, still making grungy acid and I dig it. The newest venture "Jack Trax On Wax" is a label he's jointly running with the TSR fellas and so far they've knocked out 4 EPs of swinging acid jack. I'm pretty sure he's also my 4th favourite Swede (but only by virtue of being the 4th one I met we're going 100% chronological order here). Joseph's track on this Boxed set of Bleeps is 1 of 2 total acid tracks. Of course there's always room for more, but where does one draw the line before it turns into an Acid comp? I think we've got the ratio down pat.

To celebrate 500 episodes of Bleep Radio...

In 2003 I began streaming live via Livesets dot com. Over the years the number of annually archived shows has always fluctuated, but eventually it appears 500 has arrived. Sure the actual number of streams is probably triple that or more, but that's harder to celebrate.

This 4x12" Boxed Set represents the artists whose music I play the most on Bleep Radio. Literally and objectively played the most. I'm a big number crunching statistics nerd and have trended my own track-lists for years as many of you know. As a Canadian, far removed from where the music I like shines the brightest I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to meet with and play alongside a lot of these folks in person and not just via the stream.

Bleep Radio is expected to hit show 500 on May 14th which is when --if all things align-- this release will be ready. The 500th show will consist of a mix of all of the tracks on this release by myself, plus...guests?

This release is isn't just a milestone, it's an open love letter to all of you whose music I play and will continue to play and support. Keep it wonky folks.

With almost 30 years in the Electronic music industry, Vince Watson has released over 1000 songs including 250 EP’s, including 15 albums and 75 remixes, and his hard work has been rewarded with recordings for some of the very best electronic music labels like Cocoon, Planet E, Yoruba, Poker Flat, BBE and Transmat as well as running his own Everysoul label.  His skillsets have allowed him to work with some of the very best electronic artists including Laurent Garnier, Joe Claussell, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Carl Craig, Osunlade, Steve Bug & Josh Wink and as a touring musician has been able to play at some of the worlds best clubs and events including Enter at Space, Ibiza, Berghain Berlin, Womb Tokyo and many events in The Netherlands. 
His radio show ‘Radio Drama’ has featured top guest from the electronic music world each month. Some examples include Ben Sims, Truncate, Manoo, Fred P, Steve Bug, Osunlade and many more.

Late 2020 Vince released an LP for The Outlaw Oceans music project entitled ‘Hope’, which was commissioned by the New York Times investigative journalist Ian Urbina and is now in production for Netflix as a documentary series.

Vince’s live shows are in demand around the world, performing in summer 2022 for Carl Cox’s birthday at DC10 Ibiza and as a former Tresor Berlin resident, his DJ sets are also now highly requested with appearances in clubs such as Berghain and Womb. Vince is currently resident of 909 Festival in Amsterdam. He debuted at Berlin’s HoR late 2022.

His sets can be heard in many headline podcasts series, where he has featured in podcasts from Carl Cox, John Digweed, Dave Clarke, Luciano, DJ Mag, Electronic Beats and Resident Advisor.

His 2021 His 18 track Detroit Techno LP ‘DnA’ was ‘[re]Sequenced’ by some of his favourite artists from the genre, including Carl Craig, John Beltran, Claude Young, Jon Dixon, Shawn Rudiman, Steve Rachmad, Stephen Lopkin and Stephen Brown.

Vince also debuted a new techno live project called Amorphic which launched with releases on Modularz, Symbolism and Token as well as a self-titled label, now 3 Ep’s deep.

As well as his ‘normal’ touring schedule and studio commitments, Vince’s experience and knowledge is also being put to use by Conservatorium van Amsterdam where Vince is working as a Senior Degree Lecturer for AEMA, the CvA’s new Electronic music school, where he teaches DJ classes, Production classes and Remix classes.
