Vincey'95 feat. RJ - For The Hood

Vincey'95 may also be known as ThatBoy95, born Vincent Mati (February 24 1995) in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Vincey grew up in the suburbs of Uitenhage with his domestic worker mother Landiwe Blaauw, they stayed at his mother's employers home in a little granny flat at the back in Winterhoek Park. When Vincey turned 11 they then moved Langa, a small township in Uitenhage where he struggled to adapt to the new lifestyle.

He attended school at Muir College Boys' High School, the only thing he can say about his school days is "I really hate that place, it was something like a prison". Vincey was an amateur at almost everything he did at school, we played bench warmer for the hockey team and quit rugby after receiving his first tackle. His focus on music affected his academics, as he spent more time in the studio or scripting at the back of the class than studying.

Vincey's time at school may have looked bad, but one of his first big performances were in the school hall at the school's annual "Mr.Muir" competition in May 2012. He shared the stage with rapper peer RJ (Robert James Humphreys), this performance helped him gain recognition in his town.

After May 2012, Vincey began to perform at shows around Langa which lead to him becoming one of Langa's best. The attention he got from fans gave him the big boost to improve what he does, thus the self-proclaimed name "King Of Langa Rap". With Langa being a Xhosa and Afrikaans speaking community, his english rap still gets through to most of the hip-hop heads in the township. -  "I never really cared if they understand me or not, if they bobbing their heads to my shit, I feel good. I don't care if you're a Xhosa rapper from my hood and you say I'm a wanna-be and I'm trying to sound like I'm from the states, hate all you want, because at the end of the day we're both representing the same hood. I never grew up in Langa, but I've got to say... I've learned to fucking love this place."

2013
 - In April 2013, Vincey joined VERB Entertainment, a local record label co-founded by RJ. VERB is an acronym with the names of the people that created it, (V)uyelwa, (E)than, (R)amone,(B)obby. RJ is the "B" in VERB.
-May 2013, Vincey's track "For The Hood" featuring RJ was aired for the first time on a local radio station LoveLife Kwano 99.5fm.
-Vincey is currently working on a mixtape titled "20th Avenue" and it is to be released on September 13th 2013. The whole mixtape is produced by RJ.
