Rabbit Foot Blues (In A Cave)

Collections of instruments and sounds arranged modeled on/evoking trees and forests, both biologically and imagined. Composed with the behaviors and associations of the named trees and weather/movements in mind, the first five works present an exploration of place and sensation of the forests and trees as we would find them naturally. 

The latter four works delve into the creatures and concepts that inhabit the forests in our imaginations, exploring the darker, mystical, and foreboding natures of the woods in folklore and fictions. 

The pathway taken over the course of this collection begins with the first steps inward, and moves deeper into this rhizome of imagined treescapes, becoming ever darker and more obscured - and leaving us in the heart of the woods.
