With a deep-rooted belief in the power of storytelling, connectivity and emancipation through techno, Abstract Man dedicates its performances to crafting unique, magnetic journeys formed of tripping, dynamic and hypnotic rhythms and sounds, the effect from which is an energy-rich, ritualistic experience.

In the studio, Abstract Man acts in the moment, experimenting on analogue machines in order to find and shape its voice, without fixating on trends or notions. Its creative outputs act as ideal story telling tools, often driving, highly textured and hypnotically linear. Continuously reflecting and drawing inspiration from its numerous influences and surroundings, Abstract Man is open to and ready for its own continuous evolution.

Formed of two of the three minds behind London-based promoter, On the 5th Day, Abstract Man transfers its artistic intention and love for techno across to parties at the city's best underground music venue, Corsica Studios. Through the parties, alongside a podcast stream and label, On the 5th Day's mission is to build a family of trusting and dedicated music appreciators and to create opportunities for them to connect with the music that they love, bringing up and coming artists to the limelight.

George Effe is a Dj & Producer from Baku, Azerbaijan. 
Making his debut in 2012, he has actively been part of an upcoming alignment within Baku's electronic scene. 
George has enabled himself to become one of the first residents at the infamous iN club in Baku, which is a place of alternative recreation. 
The iN Club has been the first of its kind in Baku, as it has broken a lot of stereotypes. George's sound can be described as atmospheric, hypnotic and psychedelic, which is reflected in the mixtape he has made for our series.

This set contains tracks of Moddullar, Refracted, Robert S, Rasser, Kastil, Temudo, P.E.A.R.L. and Eyvind Blix among others...

Seiichiro Itoyama offers 4 cuts of blisteringly propulsive techno for Unknown Timeline. ‘Sand and Dust (Greyscale mix)’ and ’Substrata’ carry an introspective weight, with monotonous synth sequences supplemented by a constant flow of textured ambience and percussive elements subtly sustaining energy throughout. ’R.E.M’ and ‘Barrage’ utilize sharp and direct sounds that gradually blend into each other to create an intensely hypnotic drive.

Seiichiro Itoyama is a producer from Japan, currently based in Berlin. 
Initially diving into electronic music production as a means of personal meditation, this has become the foundation of his process - a disciplined, uncompromising focus on inducing an utterly present and hypnotic state of mind through sound.
All the above, as well as a strong desire to distinguish his sound has led him to consciously eschew  using software / hardware / modular synths as primary sound sources.
With a deep interest in film, he began to sample sounds from films.
Every sound (except the kick) is created from sounds extracted from films, processed and altered beyond recognition by effects, done entirely in the box using mainly ableton stock plugins alongside few third-party plugins.
This EP is the culmination of this process.

01100110 [Granit Souls] is a DJ and techno composer from berlin. They have been developing a signature sound that could be labelled as "Doom Techno", based on their musical roots far away from the classical "oldschool Techno". Industrial, Goth Music and Dark Ambient are just a few to name of those. Hence, their sets can get almost disturbingly dark and melancholic, but always in a way that it feels empowering to dance and with a strong driving force directed towards the audience. Today we have Morsil! Relatively new to the Portuguese electronic scene, started about one year ago in Paços de Ferreira playing at events organized by The Last Supper. This year, she joined the Porto- based collective O`Clock also making her debut as a producer and contributing for a V.A. compilation that showcases emerging artists on the Portuguese scene.
In such a short time she already had the chance to play in some well-known venues, like Maus Habitos, Bloc 808, Dark Sessions and more recently at the online Spectrum Festival, organized by Vinculum.
