Boris musical roots reach back to the mid 80s, when he lived in New York for four years where he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage weekend after weekend. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. „Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.“

Born and raised in Santander, @p-e-a-r-l. first witnessed electronic music from late 90s - early 00s sounds which played a fundamental role in his productions.   As a teenager, the Spaniard immersed himself within club culture and was immediately drawn to the harsh beats of British techno. 

2006 marks the starting point of his now primary outlet: P.E.A.R.L. releasing his first tracks on Tsunami Records. In 2012 he moves to Berlin and one year after he founds his own imprint,  Falling Ethics Records, first as an outlet for his own productions and lately opening the doors to other creators like Umwelt or Oscar Mulero.
2017 is going to be a pivotal year on his career, with the release of his first Album, Temptation through Impatience, to be released on his very own Falling Ethics imprint and his addition to PoleGroup.

Recently in 2020-2021, he unleashed a string of hard-hitting tracks and EPs such as Tribal Science on Hector Oaks imprint OAKS or We Will Not All Fall , the first release of his new Falling Ethics sublabel Moral Standards: A subjective look at the current Techno scene with music from artists like Matrixxman, Sunil Sharpe, VCO or Nene H. 

As a performer he is an excellent selector in the dj booth, combining the pulse of pounding grooves in a very eclectic way, always making his sets an unexpected journey.

𝙑𝙀𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙆𝘼 𝙋𝙊𝘿𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙏 068 | 𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉 𝙇𝘼𝙐𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙕𝙀𝙉

Born in Norway and raised in Buenos Aires, DJ and producer Espen Lauritzen has an unusual trajectory that makes his sound rich and exciting. Although rooted in the origins of classic techno, his sound is playful and innovative. As well as releasing his own music on vinyl on labels such as Fiedel's Super Sound Tool or Georgia's Khidi, he has also founded his own label Krill Music, which features releases from artists such as Hector Oaks, Matrixxman and Jonas Kopp. After living in Kiev for a few years, he had to move back to Norway, where he contributes to the local scene by organizing events and festivals. You can expect energetic and authentic techno from Espen, which he presents in the world's most renowned clubs such as Berghain, Khidi, RSO, The Villa or Tresor.

The mix is a live recording from the G2 event in KHIDI, Tbilisi, taken in April 2024.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: How about sharing the vibes from your very first DJ gig?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉: Can't remember all the details, but it went down at Cocoliche Buenos Aires. That spot was where it all started for me! The vibe was immaculate!

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Living in Kyiv, Buenos Aires, and now Bergen, what can you tell us from each city?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉:
Buenos Aires is my hometown, where I found myself and kicked off my music journey.

Kyiv: Ended up here on a whim, fell in love with the techno scene and the amazing people. Felt like home away from home, before things got tough. Miss those times! 

Bergen's my jam in Norway. Finally feeling at home here with good friends and a growing music scene. 

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: What's the wildest thing that happened during a show?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉: Haha, I don’t know…getting slippers after a 16-hour set at Metaculture takes the cake!

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Staying in Bergen forever or looking forward to a new adventure?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉: Sticking around Bergen for the moment, but the thought of Spain or Portugal is always in the back of my mind. Who knows, maybe one day I'll trade the rain for some sun.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: What makes the electronic music scene so cool?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉: It's all about THE MUSIC.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Any cool plans in the near future?
𝙀𝙎𝙋𝙀𝙉: Me and my brother Hans are throwing down at Foundation events. Hosting awesome artists like Setaoc Mass, Matrixxman Hector Oaks, Boyd Schidt, Dimi Angélis, and Detcom. Got shows coming up with Lindsey Herbert in collaboration with Hothothot festival and looking to drop vinyl releases with Krill Music again. Exciting stuff ahead! Also, I'm touring Colombia in July, hitting up Medellin, Manizales, and Cali. Can't wait!

Producer, vinyl DJ and label-head Jack Wallis, also known as Decka, has carved out a distinctive space in the scene. Some of his earliest productions, released on Darwin’s label SPE:C, drew inspiration from Dubstep, Punk and UK Techno. After relocating to Berlin in 2017, Decka joined forces with The Lady Machine to found Unterwegs, a platform dedicated to releasing forward-thinking, raw and driving Techno productions, with his own tracks setting the tone for the label. In addition to Unterwegs, Decka co-runs the Frameworks label with Roseen which features their collaborative album “Imaginary Places”.  He has also released on several prestigious labels such as KEY Vinyl, AMTK+ and Token.
