Money Shuffle (Feat. TuKey and Influence)

This track started with the verse in Fall 2011. Over the following weeks I was demoing the verse and playing a melody for the hook with different friends. While working on the drums for the hook with Bob, my roommate, everything clicked. He realized the guitar melody was the Ecstasy of Gold, Ennio Morricone's masterpiece, written for "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." I soon discovered the songs were in the same key. I sampled Morricone's song and created the hook, breakdown, and pre-chorus for what I call The Battle of Zela, named after Julius Caesar's win over the Kingdom of Pontus in 47 BC. This was also used as the intro to rapper TAZ's album "Category 5."

Living For Us

I made this track with in the summer of 2011 while working in New York. I met Nyce Boy, a producer, at my job and we decided to work on some music together that night. After establishing the verse, I created the hook, arranged the song, and mixed it down over the next few days. I call the piece "In Between" because it's somewhere in between hip-hop and euro club banger.
